if it is so easy how to rotate for winners, most of the people would have made money from markets, but thats not the case. So, index investing can still give anyone a decent 12-14% return which if compounded can give a life changing amount, if not for your generation, then next generation to come.
yes indexing is good too... but if you can beat the index, one shd try that.
Very nice such a discussion really those who believe in fundamental investing of that earlier era should also learn that the era is changing a lot and the most correct investment strategy for this era is momentum. But sir, I wanted to know one thing that the support of momentum investing is what you said that where value is created, the stock price will increase and where value is destroyed, the stock price will slowly decrease. Has it ever happened that, which may be in upward trending momentum, but suddenly it is known that there is a mess in the company and its value is destroyed within a few days, If there are such examples, name a few pls??Or it never happened, the stocks that rose in price were known to have a gradual value and the ones that slowly fell in price were later considered to be messed up companies❤🎉

Indeed Sir, what goes up keeps going up and we all have experienced it. I myself kept on ignoring many, hiding behind the valuation logic ,fundamental logic, cyclicality n so on whereas what we should do is to emrace the idea that markets have seen something which is either not yet visible to us or is about to materialize and then the news further follows. 😊 So far I've found difficult to win over this psycology though.

it will happen... maybe in 1-2% of cases... Every year there is one such episode.. .but you treat it as business expense since other stocks will more than cover for it.

Yes likely
You exited believing stock lost its momentum and also lost a part of the gain in the process and now it starts moving up again. Even before you enter again the stock has gained what you missed sitting out.
