  • In December 1997, Jon Nödveidt was arrested for the murder of Josef Ben Meddaour and served seven years for accessory to murder and possession of an illegal firearm. The highly publicized murder in Gothenburg is depicted in the movie "Keillers Park". What has come to be known as "the Satanic murder" in Sweden has led to both a movie and a book.
    "Keillers Park", which is named after the park in Gothenburg where the murder took place, opened in theaters in Sweden in March 2006.
    Please feel free to share your comments and opinions on the video. Enjoy!

    Jon was the real deal. He believed in what he believed in. I can’t speak for Jon but I know he was talented in his creative life and was foundational to so much that came after him. Tragedy and inspiration often seem like brothers. Without darkness, there could be no light. Without evil how can good be known. The darkness can be beautiful. And so is the light. Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to meet Jon, but I am honored that he dedicated Dissection’s Grief Prophecy Demo to me. ~Jeff Becerra/Possessed~

      The light doesn't need darkness, but darkness needs light. The light doesn't depend on the shadow to exist, but the shadow depends on the light to exist. If a mass murderer weren't taken care of by someone when they were a baby, they would never have had the chance to even grow up and become a mass murderer. You do not need evil to know what good is, goodness is known by its own nature, good is healing, regeneration, happiness, good is self-sustaining and self-explanatory, it is its own reason to be done as good follows good. The opposite is true for evil, evil is harm, degeneration, and suffering, evil is self-defeating, it is senselessness itself, it is its own reason not to be done, bad follows bad. Balance isn't "some good, some evil". Evil is imbalance itself. If the world had only good, then there would only be harmony, only healing, only happiness, that is true balance. Once evil comes into the picture, there are no good choices anymore, only lesser evils. The narrative that evil is something that should be is only perpetuated by those who cling to evil ways and try to defend evil ways.

    As far as I can remember from statements regarding this incident (probably from Jon, but I can't double check now) it wasn't known to him that the person was homosexual. That was not the reason behind the actual murder. It doesn't really make sense either with his beliefs, as I would guess he saw all people as equal (equally revolting I guess) - simple constructs of cosmos -, thus it was no hate crime (which is a foolish concept anyways - a murder is a murder regardless of intentions).

    Para mis hispanos, he aquí una traducción sencilla, si hay errores, no duden en dejarlo en los comentarios y lo corregiré.
    (Inicio)
    -¡Es muy divertido!
    -Dios, qué mala broma.
    -¡Es en verdad buena!
    -El falafel cuesta 44 coronas.
    Otras 20 coronas.
    -Yo tengo 20.
    -Yo tampoco tengo dinero.
    -¡No soy un banco!
    (En esta parte están en la comisaría.)
    -¿En qué puedo ayudarla?
    -El chico gay en Keillers Park.
    Sé quién lo hizo.
    (Indigentes acosan al tipo gay.)
    -¿Tienes 1 corona? ¿O 5?
    ¿Qué pasa con algunos rizadores de pelo?
    -No seas tonto.
    -¿5 coronas?
    (Jon y su compañero llegan.)
    -¿En dónde llevas esto? ¿En tu idiota cabeza?
    -¡Devuélvemela!
    ¿Qué está mal contigo?
    -La gente está detrás de tí, violinista.
    -Dale su gorra.
    -Dámela.
    -Dije, que le devuelvas su gorra.
    -Tómala.
    -Tenemos tanto derecho como tú.
    -Cállate.
    -¿A dónde vas? Caminaremos contigo.
    -¡Algunas personas son castigadas inmediatamente por Dios!
    ¿No es eso lo que dicen?
    -Realmente, no creemos en Dios.
    -¿Entonces en qué crees?
    -Poderes Oscuros y El Camino De La Mano Izquierda.
    -¿Por eso es que lucen tan enojados?
    -Quizás.
    -Te he visto antes.
    Buenas noches, me bajaré aquí.
    (En este punto siguen al chico gay)
    -Mierda, me siento enfermo.
    -¿Vas a vomitar?
    Dios, no.
    -Vamos, tómalo.
    -¡No! Ese fue mi regalo para tí.
    -¿Estás seguro?
    -Por supuesto. ¿Qué hora es?
    -Venticinco pasado.
    -Él se tardó otra vez.
    -¿Quién? ¿Tu novio?
    -¿Te gustan las sonrisas?
    -Sí, ¿A quién no?
    -Entonces tienes que venir aquí, es absolutamente hermoso.
    ¿Has estado ahí arriba?
    -No.
    -¿Quieres venir?
    -No.
    _Pero es mi regalo para tí._
    -De acuerdo entonces.
    -Genial, ven.
    (El lugar.)
    -¡Wow!... ¿No es hermoso? ¿Cómo pueden creer en la oscuridad cuando hay algo como esto?
    (Taser)
    -¿Qué estás haciendo?
    -¡Cállate!
    -¡Detente!
    -¡Haz algo!
    -¡Levántate!
    -¡Mierda! ¡Detente!

    If you haven't read naything definitive, nor spoken to the murderers, how can you claim, some comments below this that Jon was "a HOMOPHOBIC MURDERER" I haven't said that it definitely wasn't homophobic, I've just said that not every murder of a gay man is a homophobic murder, and that may(or may not) be the case here.

  • @LaMonicaWilliams
    @LaMonicaWilliams 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    This is from the movie Keiller's Park. The movie is based on a true incident regarding the Dissection Frontman Jon Nödtveidt. The movie tells of a man who loses everything because he falls in love with another man, loses everything because of it, only to later be accused of his murder.Dissection Frontman Jon Nödtveidt was one of the murderers. It is believed that the killing was motivated by the fact that the real life victim Josef Ben Maddour was gay. It's a good movie.

      Probably for the best to just try and separate the music from the person. Somehow I doubt this film depicts the events as they actually happened, so I wouldn't use it to help form an opinion. Obviously Jon had some major demons, and though I don't agree with homophobia, racist views, xenophobia, etc., I absolutely love Dissection. I have to do this with several musicians/bands that I enjoy, but that I don't agree/care for with their viewpoints, or beliefs. Burzum is another good example of that.

    I don' have the exact quotes but on more than one occasion he stated that the murder was "the biggest mistake of his life" and in the context the mistake wasn't the adverse effects to his life but the taking of another life. Meh wish I had the original interview on hand. The impression I got was that he really regretted what he did on every level.

    • @moribvndi
      @moribvndi 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      He regretted because it was, firstly, useless, and secondly made him lose a lot of time and energy that he could have used in other things than sitting in a prison cell. Apart from that, Jon was not a humanist. "People will always kill each others" he said, it speaks a lot about his opinion about this murder.

    What does the innocence of the victim have to do with it?Is it required that U be a saint in order for you not to be murdered?And ok, it wasn't a hate crime. SO what was they reasoning?What was the reason that was rationalized in the minds of these two men where they felt this was okay to do? Take HATE CRIME out. What are U left with? The victim wasn't innocent,the victim wasn't likable, the victim was no saint.I mean, think about what U just posted.That applies to about 95% of us.

    K.W.P., I got this in my response box.I don't know if you are addressing takeospikeslive or me, but I'll respond. I was being condescending and sarcastic at takeospikeslive comment and silly notion that it was the "Presses being irresponsible in regards to Jon and his actions.I don't believe in anyway that anyone is to blame for the murder of the young man but the two idiots involved. Including the one who played in a band.

  • @LaMonicaWilliams
    @LaMonicaWilliams 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    So there was NO REASON for the killing? Just.SOMETHING TO DO? JUST FOR FUN,KILL SOMEONE?Most Black people would consider it a RACIST killing.I know I would.That's me.And U are talking about YOUR DOUBTS.How about U share some FACTS with me? Did Jon ever give a reason,was one ever brought out in court.I'm asking since this is NOT addressed in the movie.On that note,are Jon's actions still excused by U?Cuz he played in a band.U seem to have NO EMPATHY FOR THE VICTIM!Very HUMANE takeospikeslive

  • @LaMonicaWilliams
    @LaMonicaWilliams 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    K.M.C. ,do U know the reason for the murder?Then having one doesn't make it any less wrong and horrific, but people try to find reasons , because people want to try to prevent things from happening later.takeospikeslive certainly doesn't want to address it. And the movie doesn't address the killers or their motives, or even the fact that one was even in a band. I have read "Hate Crime" & "Thrill Killing" . But nothing definitive.

Cuz he was SUCH A GREAT HUMAN BEING (blech).Yeah,he's dead, so what,you aren't absolved of your deeds because you die.That's something that we are all DESTINED to do.HE CHOSE to be a murderer. So he hasn't earned that courtesy from me.

    I'm not obsessed with hating Jon.I'm just astounded by your unwavering defense and sympathy for Jon, and your "Apparent" lack of human empathy for the victim. I get Jon was a Satanist.I get that he wrote his music from that pov, and I get that some fans "GET" his music.I just find it horrible that a certain aspect of your emotions is (or appears) absent.Ya know,we have done the back and forth, and it's been fun.But I wouldn't rejoice,or even show empathy to someone who would do U harm.

    I'm sure someone loves U.I can't think WHY? I mean a person who feels no EMPATHY for murder victims,whether known or unknown is not really anyone I could ever bring myself to even look upon.They'd have to be in a "program" (drug or diminished mental capacity program that is). So that speaks of their caliber.Which is not good.And I'm a fabulous person.And before U try to tell me I'm not, don't waste your breath or finger motion typing it, because I'll NEVER BE CONVINCED.

    Ohh,U were being "clever" with the "salon" joke.OK.Here's a hint,it's not funny either way.I don't listen to rap just for that reason.So U obviously see my point.U should care,about how the heinous brutal acts of other people shape our world,and humanity as a whole.But as U've stated,U are obviously the "SOUL OF EMPATHY" (note sarcasm).Why don't U do the world a favor and take "Murdering Scum" Jon's lead. Just like Jon,U have nothing good or decent to offer the rest of the world.

  • @LaMonicaWilliams
    @LaMonicaWilliams 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    The movie piqued my interest in the whole subject. I must admit, takeospikeslive rabid defense of this person did as well. So now , I'm interested in knowing the full story accurately. I'm just a person who likes to be "In The Know" as we say. Most of the back and forth with takeospikeslive is just a play of "One Upsmanship" on each other. But if you are talking about and addressing things. It's nice to KNOW what you are talking about.

  • @LaMonicaWilliams
    @LaMonicaWilliams 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    takeospikeslive >>>if it makes you feel any better..your precious Jon WAS NOT portrayed in anyway as GAY in the film..Just a COLD BLOODED MURDER..seems like you would be more upset by that..But I guess That's not the point you want to talk about..Ohh, and you can say SHUT UP..that doesn't mean you can MAKE IT HAPPEN..HAHAHAHAH

  • @LaMonicaWilliams
    @LaMonicaWilliams 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ohh,okay.But, the joke's not funny.Anyway.SO great,he wasn't racist.Great.He didn't DO THE KILLING.That's such a passive-aggressive take.He watched it happen.He didn't try to stop it.So he's not a murderer by technicality.He only regretted getting CAUGHT!Then why was he convicted of a crime.He had to participate in some way.Which makes him just as guilty.AGAIN, WHERE IS YOUR EMPATHY FOR THE VICTIM?Okay, I get he played in a band U liked.But does that trump human life where you're from?

  • @LaMonicaWilliams
    @LaMonicaWilliams 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    But I'm sure you would agree that it's bad either way? Or do you feel as takeospikeslive , and don't believe in empathy , cause you didn't known them , or like their music? I'm only asking.

  • @LaMonicaWilliams
    @LaMonicaWilliams 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    takeospikeslive U wrote>you cant even be completely sure that the victim is completely innocent
    So Why did U even bring up any aspect of how the victim was?U may not be saying it directly,but U are hinting around that the victim somehow deserved what happened to him.I have a thick skull,so explain to me what U meant by not being sure about the victims,I guess as far as U are concerned,his "Moral" status that apparently brought this upon him.And remember we are talking about THIS CASE.

  • @murderaddiction
    @murderaddiction 14 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    @xerxesmv Yeah, it's confusing. I think Jon and the other guy originally intended to just beat on the gay guy but ended up killing him without having time to think. I'm pretty sure what happened in reality was nothing like what you see in this scene. I can't imagine anyone murdering a person merely because they compliment their appearance. There must have been something else that the victim did to provoke Jon.

  • @Ashtharoth
    @Ashtharoth 17 ปีที่แล้ว

    Wasn't it sawed-off shotgun which Jon killed the dude in the park. Or so I've read somewhere anyway this movie sucks. When this clip started I thought it was some kind of parody about the murder. but as it went on they were serious. It's a shame that it includes just a little fact what actually happen there and what kind of person Jon Nödtveidt really was.

  • @LaMonicaWilliams
    @LaMonicaWilliams 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    Don't see how a salon worker is a diss. I'm sure it's funny in your mind.I guess the fact that the murder took place a long time ago diminishes the brutality of the act.If he wasn't guilty of anything,WHY DID HE GO TO JAIL? He had to play SOME PART.He's dead by his OWN HAND,that was HIS CHOICE.U should have moved on when U found out he was a MURDERER and not bought his music.U are speaking VOLUMES about your lack of character &human decency.U still show NO EMPATHY for the victim.Only the killer
