I recon Tom should stand behind the Marshalls in the background and put the ladder where Tom once was in the foreground.

Hey Tom, I smiled ear to ear when I heard that opening riff from "She's So Heavy"! There's another solo that captured my attention as a young guitar player like a million years ago on "Something in the way she moves". That solo still kills me to this day! Well... There's "Another Brick" and "Comfortably Numb" but I'm digressing. Thanks for all these videos man, I really look forward to them!

I like the morning Tom. Very witty, informative and happy. As soon as I
heard the first 3 notes of the opener I knew exactly where it was going.
I shouted "YES" because I am one of the follows who loves the Beatles.
I would love to sit with you for hours just talking about them.
You have a gift, I love your candidness and ability to sit there and share
your experiences with us. it's priceless. I look forward to it everyday.
    Thank You!

    Hey Tom,
I’m 54, and I’ve been playing guitar for 30+ years. Thank you so much for sharing your “Musicality” with the rest of us. You’re unique, no nonsense, working man’s approach to explaining what it truly means to be a real “player” & not just a hack, is awesome. The youngsters out there could learn a lot from just watching your videos. I sure have!😃👍🎸

This is what I always loved about Cheap Trick, they pulled this sort of guitar stuff from the Beatles forward into their music. RN is a killer guitar player. Its kind of dark, moving, it really sets a mood. Also the Buxton Hughes music i've been listening too on TH-cam is awesome!

Tom, neither one of us wants my nose where it sounds like I'm putting it, but your videos just resonate! Of course the toys and playing are swell, but you and your take on the video thing just sit in a pocket so many of us can relate to. Your garage is any funky shop we've all spent too much time in. And you talk like any good, crusty shop dag, elbows on the counter, just dishing experience. That's a disappearing breed, and I miss it! Thanks!

Tom, you are exactly what the guitar/music community needs right now. I’m not talking about now as in “Coronatimes”, I’m talking about bringing a whole different perspective to the guitar that no one else is doing or has done well in a very long time if ever on social media. I understand your family time and schedule, but if you don’t continue these videos, you will be letting us all down haha. I never thought I’d get so excited about a 10-20 minute video of a guy sitting in his garage playing guitar, but damn man, it’s awesome and we all appreciate your time and perspective very much. Please keep these going and I’ll gladly sign up to support you on Patreon, PayPal, whatever.
Also, create yourself an Instagram page, use that to drive people to your TH-cam page and that’ll help increase your donations.
    Thanks again!

Tom thanks for the great show! Fortunately enough beeing in Italy I can enjoy a cold beer with you show as it‘s evening here :) Definitely a revelation in guitar shows, as you focus on the context of the guitar in a song and not just noddling licks. Best example today with the Beatles. Plus you made me take out my old Jethro Tull and Alex Harvey albums. Faith Healer blasting in the headphones, a cold beer and a sigar on the balcony at night is a mystic experience! Cheers, Andy

NRBQ are the best unknown band ever! I love guitar players who have their own distinct sound and you know when it’s Big Al playing, As you said people play and sound like their personality, no better example than Big Al!
Also how good is Gordon Mote, had the amazing privilege to do an album with him in the early 2000’s, that guy is a musical genius and a hell of a nice guy with a wicked sense of humour. Thanks for the work you put in as It’s great to see video’s that aren’t your typical boring clinical guitar videos with no sole or humour, god knows there’s enough clinical hi-jinx and humourless shit going on in this world at the moment.

Those devices you talk about...SO TRUE. At one time, I started a notebook of ideas to use within tunes when recording in the studio. Tom Petty got me started with his 'Wildflower' CD. So many amazing uses of more or less instruments through a part. More or less percussion through a part. Acoustic and Electric, Electric 6 and Baritone, Baritone and Electric 12 string. Not even going to get into melody and harmony. Having a Toolbox of these pearls is a necessity for any Producer. And a creative gift for any musician. Finally...I grew up with Abbey Road. TONS of pearls for creating on that disc! How did they do it...George Martin didn't hurt. Keep on Brother!

Thank you for highlighting George's beautiful sense of melody, which is too easy to overlook in this post-GIT era of guitar playing. Long before the tribute band craze, I was contracted for a year to play a Beatles/McCartney show in the casinos of Tahoe/Reno/Vegas. Felt like I was getting away with something to be paid to play that music night after night. And Big Al & the Q! First time I hit 3rd and Lindsley after to moving to Nashville in 1998, he was playing that night with John Cowan. Inspiring!

Super shout out to Big Al Anderson! I grew up sneaking into the Rusty Nail in Western Mass. to see NRBQ. I've never seen a band whip the crowd into a frenzy like them. A few years ago he brought the World Famous Headliners to town with Greg Morrow and Michael Rhodes. That blew my mind as we're not used to that type of rhythm section badasserry here in New England. Al is a force of nature. He's the only guy for me to ever have a beautiful chorus sound. I believe his secret was the Roland Chorus Echo RE-501. I stood next to him once. I almost asked him about that but he was too intimidating. Thank you for these videos! p.s. if you ever get a chance please ask Al.

Great episode Tom, thanks for your time! 7:40 - so true. Music has really gotten predictable and simple. Nothing wrong with complexity.
"She's So Heavy " is a crazy song. When Lennon does the second solo, and at Two 45 he briefly - briefly - hits the major triad, it blows me away every time!

Hi tommy, I sent you some money from berlin.
I watch your lessons from the first day on. Even before that I was aware of you because greg v mentioned your name.it was funny, when your were asked about some other guitarplayers I already knew that you would talk about kenny greenberg. I saw him in 2000 with gary nicholson, reese wynans was on the hammond, michael rhodes on bass and the fabulous chad chromwell on the drums. What a band and what a live experience. I wish I were in town when you‘ve played with pat buchanan . saw the vid on youtube. Very nice with a lot of british influences.

Been listening to "The Fabulous Thunderbirds - Girls go wild" these days...man! Jimmy Vaughan is a Badass. The power of stupid maybe 🤷‍♂️... it's like the force, and Jimmy is Yoda or something.

Did Tom just nonchalantly drop that he went to Bohemian Grove? What the actual fuck
