Hey! I'm a Vega player as well. I found out an interesting setup to fish CHs on wakeup. It works against all DPs and wake-up throws. After an EX-FBA-Throw you walk a little bit foward and press MP (clawless). It only works against normal recovery (that quick-rise). You should try it out. The timing is a little bit precise, but worth the practice.
And thanks for the techs, I'll definitely use them.

After ex.roll I reversed the Heavy Punches which allowed me to get the huge ST.HP counterhit combo

This needs more views! All Vegas should know this! Great information here, thank you so much for making this video and being thorough about it ^^///

does the cross up super in the corner have a specific timing or can i just buffer the super out of the mp? @4:57

The cr.mp is just to kill frames to make sure the super crosses up, you just need to confirm if they're doing quick wake up when you go for the setup as it only works on quick wake up. As long as you instantly input the cr.mp after doing the heavy crimson terror then instantly input super it should be frame perfect.

Good stuff! I'll have to practice these setups.
Maybe skip(or fast forward?) the Critical Art animations on your next video, though. It really lengthens the video unnecessarily.

+Trevor McCarley Yeah I noticed after watching it back, I'll definitely cut the CA animations down in the future. Thanks for the feedback!

Do these setups still work? When I do them, the meaty's active frames comes out 2-3 frames ahead of the opponents quick rise and has me wiff the meaty. I can only make them connect by slightly delaying my inputs.

Don't see why they wouldn't work now, nothing has changed in that regard. Haven't played Vega in a while so not sure what to suggest, sorry.

how did you calculate your meaties? I've been trying to figure out a way to make my own set ups

    • @Myst91

Use a button/special that causes knockdown that would be at the end of the combo (for example Vega's EX roll) then find a button that hits meaty on quick/delayed/roll wake-up. For delayed wake-up I'd just whiff quicker buttons before they get up just to make it easier timing the meaty. Whatever button you use for the quick wake-up meaty, just use it at the start of the delayed wake-up setup just so it covers both types of wake-up. Hopefully that makes sense/helps!

I knew that much already, I just wasn't sure if you had a specific way of calculating your set ups to make them perfectly meaty to get the most frame advantage from your moves. Thanks for your help!
