This is a great illustration! Thank you so much for the video. I feel it's important to note that motion in the positive x, positive y and positive z translational directions is not restricted by the 6 pins. The 3-2-1 principle restricts a total of 9 out of 12 degrees of freedom. That being said, we cannot add more pins as machining the workpiece would become hard. The remaining 3 degrees of freedom are restricted by clamps. I hope this helps
I am currently learning CMM programming via on-the-job training. I couldn't fully understand the 3, 2, 1 alignment principal until I watched this video. This video helped tremendously! Thanks!
WoW, what a nice demonstration, may you kindly state difference between locate, support and clam, Bcoz I m confused in locate and support??? Clamp is clear in my mind
Thats a good question! In order to answer this question, you will have to consider a total of 12 degrees of freedom, basically splittng the translational motion about positive and negative axis and Rotational into clock wise / Counter clock wise. This way the 3-2-1 principle will allow you to locate and support your work piece by arresting 9 DOF's. The remaining 3 translational movements are to be essentially arrested with a use of a Clamp. You might want to have look into design of jigs and Fixtures for understanding this concept.
The best video on 3-2-1 principle hands down !
Never having touched a machine. This video was so valuable. Thank you for the great visual.
This video amazing really, fist time I understand properly about 3-2-1 Principal , sir you great teacher. God bless you .

What is the pre requisite of the input part so that we have less variation reference from 3-2-1...
Wowwwww top video
Amazing..!!!
Smashed the video good job
thank you....u too have great channel
Well explained, so the 3 2 1 refers to restrictions deducting rotational or hor./ver translations.
Yes, you got it right....
Micha katha 🙄
awesome .. keep safe always new friend here
Stay connected
SUPER ANIMATION
thank you
Good
nice one
Thanks
Thank you ❤
Thank you.
Very nice...👍

thank u..
Thanks
Wow

Thank you
Super video
Thanks
is 2 refers to holding(clamping),
Not exactly
Love it!
Thank you.....
Nice.
Thanks!
Why 3 clamps were used in bottom side. It could be two only on diagonal position
then object is free to rotate diagonally, forming an axis with these two diagonal points

new friend here ✌️
thank you stay connected
Still movement in positive x direction and positive z direction not arrested.
This is compulsory bro otherwise how can we mount and unmount the workpiece
