"I thought I was stronger." How real is that. I definitely went into it thinking birth would not break me, but I was quickly humbled and came to realize that the purpose of birth IS to break you. A new life is being birthed for your baby AND for you. I can't think of it without crying, because it's so beautiful and I'm so grateful to have been broken through a process that was designed by God.

Watching these will help you get the right mindset going into it. I’m so thankful that I knew several people who had great birth experiences. I also enjoyed watching hypnobirth videos (with later babies) and other natural calm birth videos. I was told by a nurse after my first that I could teach birth classes. So I guess it helped me! 😁

My mom says the same to me. I'm not even pregnant or have age to have a baby 😅. But I think that even if it's painful (not all births are) it's so beautiful and such a incredible moment. It's so crazy thinking that a little human being will come out of you and will start growing up and with a blink they're already adults, ready to build they're own life 🥲

As a birth doula… I sat and watched and wished how every first time mama could see this. This is such a beautiful and accurate picture of the birthing process when left “unmessed” with by providers. Sometimes labor is very long and there is nothing wrong with that. This shows the grit that is needed. The patience that is needed. The vision. This was beautifully primal. Good job, mama.

I thought with my last that I would not be able to do it with an epidural (anesthesiologist was in a c section) the could not give me anything except this one thing that took like 30 minutes to take effect, they gave it to me but it quickly left, they broke my water, and it quickly progressed my labor, they came in to do epidural but I was too far along, baby was born like 10 minutes later lol.

Girls, I'm very curious, when did contractions get renamed surges? I'm almost 50, and my daughter just had a baby and I noticed a few times people call it surges so I'm assuming it has to do with some coarse people paid for?? My daughters midwives and doula still call them contractions. Maybe it's regional

I had my first baby at home in December 2021 and it, too, was such a special experience. The way you said, “I did that?” At the end just sums up the whole experience! It really does take you to the end of yourself and beyond. And when you’re holding your baby, you can’t believe you made it to the other side. And the gift is so so sweet. Congrats!

I unfortunately did not have a good experience giving birth to my Only living child a Son who is now 20 years old. I was a very high risk pregnancy and had to have surgical intervention to save my pregnancy at 6 weeks and again at 17 weeks. It was absolutely amazing to watch your video of giving birth in your home surrounded by family and friends. Thank you so much for sharing your birth experience with the World. What a wonderful experience. Your daughter is just precious.

I had 28 hours of labor sweet girl, and 14 hours in I begged for pain meds, and got them. I was able to sleep for an hour. Then got an epidural. Not the kind that makes your legs go numb but helpful nonetheless. I said the words “im tired” at 28 hours with pain meds. You are a rockstar. I envy you and what you were able to do in all the time. My water didn’t break until her head came out, AND the fact that your baby was born in sac. What an amazing gift after all that work!! ❤

i think this is the most beautiful, raw, stunning birth vlog i've ever seen. your husband laboring along with you, supporting you all the way through, was absolutely wonderful to see. that's how i want my boyfriend to be when we have our kids. your daughter is absolutely precious, and she came into this world so fiercely. i loved seeing how raw this was, nothing was edited to look ~aesthetic~ or perfect. because let's face it, childbirth is not perfect! i bawled at you saying 'i thought i was stronger', and your midwife explaining that childbirth is meant to bring you to your breaking point. you came out of this so much stronger, and with a beautiful daughter to boot. hands down my new favorite birth vlog. god bless you and your beautiful family.

How absolutely precious and sweet to see your husband right there in the trenches with you, to watch your entire birth team support and encourage you, and to see you power through like such a boss. I hope this video encourages and inspires more women to take on the challenge of home birthing- to really and actually experience labor and delivery, and watch and feel how amazing our bodies were designed so we could do this very thing. What an incredible day for y’all! Welcome to the world, beautiful and chunky Leora!!

What an incredible depiction of labour snd delivery. I laboured for 36 hours, 30 without any analgesia and the final 6 with an epidural. My labour slowed, with stalls, but so little support from my midwife I wasn't given any other options than an augmentation, which resulted in too much pressure being put on my little one. Your support was incredible, you were incredible. Thank you for sharing xxxx

What a beautiful birth. I’m pregnant with our 8th baby after an 8 year gap and this brought me to tears. Birth is so incredibly powerful and raw and reconstructive and transformative. I am anxious and eager about meeting our little guy in just a few weeks. Thank you for the reminder of how beautiful even the hardest labors and births truly are.

This was such a beautiful experience, I felt like I was right there with you, encouraging and praising you along your journey. I am in awe at your strength, at how supportive your hubby is, and how amazing all your team was. Your birthing experience is what I would want for myself whenever that time comes for me, but unfortunately where I live home births aren't allowed, and in the hospital you can't have anyone with you. It is terrifying to think about going through it surrounded by strangers, but your video brought comfort and joy. I wish you & your family all the best!

@@lala-gg4dg in the public hospitals no, the partner does not go past the waiting room until everything is over, afterwards you are allowed 1 visitor at the time and it's the same for the private ones with very few exceptions where the partner is allowed to be with you, but it is very expensive. It's worth noting that in theory, the law allows the partner to be present, but few know about it and none apply it, with those few exceptions that consider it a "premiun birth experience" and charge for it accordingly.
