Actually whale watching has since reopened in September 2020 (6 months since pandemic started) but only to local Cebuano visitors or residents as travel from other places in the Philippines was still restricted. In February 2021, Cebu was opened to domestic tourists from selected areas in the Philippines until the second surge in the middle of 2021 (June 2021) and Cebu was closed again to domestic tourists. It reopened again by August 2021 until Typhoon Odette ravaged southern Cebu in December 16, 2021 that destroyed most of the attractions and luckily Oslob was spared by the devastating typhoon. Cebu welcomes its first foreign tourists in February 2022 when IATF finally allowed international travel to the Philippines.
Please stop bothering & feeding the Whale Sharks! Don't go ' don't support it and don't film it to support going there!
