    It's about damn time we get some technology in our airplanes. So tired of nearly 100 year old designs!

      Not like the other over complex hard to work on, expensive parts of the other leading geared affair.

    This turbo normalized engine would be nice in a glider tow place as it could have full power output through the climb and of course gliding is a summer sport so haveing that constant power would be a great safety benefit.

    Could you recommend a couple of 4 person airplanes that supports this engine?

    Is the UL 390iSA fully aerobatic or just inverted capable? is the crankshaft strong enough for snap rolls? I would love to hear from UL what the recommed, or anyone with real world experiance.

    • @ulpoweraeroengines2612
      @ulpoweraeroengines2612  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes , the ULXXXISA engines are fully aerobatic and capable for all aerobatic maneuvres. You can find more info : ulpower.news/the-ulpower-aerobatic-option or check out this video : th-cam.com/video/3AtKqXSFOFg/w-d-xo.html

      Do the iSA engines still need to run the oil additive, required after the twister engine seize?

    • @ulpoweraeroengines2612
      @ulpoweraeroengines2612  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dominiceller1821 After the first 15 hours (break-in period), ULP Acro+ oil additive must be added at every oil change. It creates (a kind of) oil film in the engine, which guarantees lubrication under all circumstances. We already had it before the twister incident, but then started promoting it extra.

    What does Garrett think about you using their turbo. They told me they would not assist with any aerospace project.

      Given turbocharging and stuff, I would hope to see 250 ktas but is that too much to ask for?
      No lol the XL version achieves 250 ktas with a 550

    To bad we can't get closer to 300 hp🤨

    • @josephc.9520
      @josephc.9520 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just add boost... what a racer would say, but safety would be nonexistent. To be fair the UL engines have very low operating temps a s sufficiently large displacement. The standard speeds arguably make them better than Rotax. So, faster rpms and some boost, throw safety out the window, and you have 300hp

    I'm still waiting for you. L to admit that they need to add a lien of peak operation button. When I get to cruising altitude I want to fly lean peak. It's better for the engine and all they need to do is provide cylinder head temperature feedback to ensure that you don't overly lean it. If it does get caught, then you go back to full rich, let the computer control it. People are going to have fowled plugs unless they do this.
