Today we're checking out some of the old and forgotten skateparks of the Blue Mountains as we make our way down to one of the sickest DIY skatepark I've ever seen
Hey if your still in the mountains which im guessing your not you should check out this carpark spot thats under the cinema in katoomba near the return and earn. It should be about a 2min drive from surf club if your interested. Theres a manual pad that has a roll on grind on the side of it, a perfect super low manual pad with a couple of ancient slappy curbs on either side of it but its a sick spot if your in the mountains.
Man I used to drive past these parks all the time as a kid, driven past Blackheath so many times but never skated it so it was cool to get a good view of the park. I was really hoping you were gonna check out Lawson too so glad I saw that in the video, I remember thinking it was the coolest park in the world as a kid haha
@@LeonWaxton i take them apart and rub plain paraffin, gulf wax, on all the contact points - bushings, washers, yoke, pivot, smooth part of kingpin, and shave some in the pivot cup
Which of these parks looks the most fun?
I've skated the first one. So that one.
Katoomba is the best
You should try out the new skatepark at Blackman park in lane cove. It was built by Convic and has some really unique obstacles.
Dope. Looks really transition oriented! Im dreaming about mini bowls like this to learn grinding before bigger stuff 🙂
It really is and I struggled a bit skating everything lol
I built the diy in glenbrook lmao, if anyone wants to keep building it please do! Haven’t had the time to concrete it in ages
Oh sick, that place was heaps fun!
Cambridge looks like somebody did burnouts lmao 😂
Fully 😂
Nice Leon you skate really well man keep it up
Thanks dude, appreciate you!

Yeah dude, those 2 parks were actually way more fun than I expected too!
I can't believe you didn't hit up Glenbrook skatepark (not the diy) it's a banger. First skatepark I ever rode
We were going to but spent too much time at the DIY and wanted to get to the next spots before school was out lol
@@LeonWaxton makes sense skateparks fill up after school
Winmalee skate near Springwood is ohk, too check it out sometime
Is that the street plaza looking park? That one actually looks sick!
Drop the DIY vid already!
My old locals 👏
They're so crusty!

Yeah dude, I should have skated softer wheels for these ones 😅
