Vicla comes from the Chicano low-rider culture. It is an expression of Mexican pride, artfulness, and uniqueness. These beautiful bikes are all unique but have Harley-Davidson in common. Of course, Viclas came about in the 60”s from California, where you can find the most beautiful bikes your eyes will ever lay eyes on.
Just for you information everyone has this word wrong! It is supposed to be pronounced "BICLA" which is a Spanish slang word or short for "Bicicleta" which means bicycle. To EVERYONE if your gonna use Spanish words in reference to bikes get RIGHT!.... And yes I am an Old time REAL biker, not a weekend warrior! Been one for over 40yrs. I own a 1974 Shovelhead Electra Glide and a 2000 Twin Cam Electra Glide. And of course I'm not into that low rider cookie cutter looking bikes. My bikes are true real scooters (hogs) for those that are even old enough to know what that means!
I think he knew but maybe he doesn’t think of his bike as a Vicla. I edited some things out but he does go on to say that it came from the Cholo culture. But he did get stuck there for a minute. I think I caught him off guard 😄

The real word which derives from Mexican slang is pronounced "" BICLA" not Vicla....So "Bicla" comes from the word (Bicicleta) which then translates in English for bicycle. 🚲....So to those that want to be dropping Spanish names to scooters, get it RIGHT!
You’re pronouncing it wrong brother.. Vicla’s are Lowriders, that are related to Lowrider bicycles. Vicla’s are a way of life, like Lowrider vehicles.. not a simply a bike that’s been customized.

Chicanos are the ones that brought up the Viclas the style check out all the Viclas in California.
