Learn how to dismantle your Dometic toilet cassette to clean and grease. Follow along as Bob from Travelling Oz Our Way shows you how to do this simply.
Hi Kat, we just use a cup of double strength cleaning vinegar from Coles, rinse - vinegar - rinse, all good. Occasionally we might add some Bi Carb soda just to refresh if it gets a bit smelly but not needed every time. Hope that helps. Bob
Steph, it has jammed on me as well a few times and I found that it was actually jamming on the raised ribs on the black screw on cap on the cassette, I simply made sure the grip ribs weren’t pointing up. There may be other factors but the tolerances are pretty tight when it fits in the slide on ours. It seems to be ok now when I do this. Hope this helps Steph, if it’s something else on yours please let me know. Regards Bob

Excellent demo. Thanks for taking the time to show us.
Thanks for watching
Great tips thank you. I’m not sure if you know that the rubber ring seal in the centre also can be replaced when it’s worn.
Some great tips Bobbie! 👏
Good vid, thanks. BTW a quarter turn is 90 degrees.
Would love to know more about the actual cleaning. What vinegar you use, do you dilute it, and do you soak it?
Great job! 🙌🏻
Great tips we have had an issue with our cassette getting stuck in the toilet would you have an idea how to fix this ? thanks 🍻
