Shut down cuzzie, did you not know that Black Power movement and Black Power in United States of America was firstly from da Black blooded Heroes like "Marcus Garvey." and his
"Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie Tafarai.", and hold up, O.G Black Power came from Rasta, aka Rastafarai which came from
Mother Africa and Jamaica, now we all are just a different branch of coloured Black Power, but firstly its a Religion, then a Culture, and then it became a Social Race kinda following, there in lies the secret to a real
BLACK POWER, not some American or New Zealander, but a true RASTA, now that is how I know i can fist it to everyone coz I base my knowledge of da FIST on da true principle of Black Power, im black empowered by Jah Rasta

I’m of aboriginal Hawaiian descent. We are the people of the canoe my brother! The canoe came with ancient wisdom! Wisdom came with ancient tradition. Tradition came from an ancient homeland. We believe our homeland is A place called “Kahiki”-a.k.a. “Tahiti “
And from there the stories, the ancient music and songs, chants will lead u back to the previous migration.
Go far back enough and you’ll recognize different food crops and plants that migrated along with the same people navigating to a new home with better living conditions than the one before.
Just for a good prime example. Our main staple food crop, ‘Taro- which we call kalo/talo’ originated from Africa. Just to put that into an ancient perspective.

Well Black Power began as revolutionary movement in the 1960s and 1970s. It emphasized racial pride, economic empowerment, and the creation of political and cultural institutions. And those jackets are patches that Black Power colours are predominantly blue and black. The patches usually feature a clenched fist which is a symbol of the American Black Power movement. The patch will also be tattooed on the member's body and I think when the member's get their patches they have to get tattooed on their back

There is a story behind all this black power. Black Panther from the U.S was a big influence. There is a video about this. There was some sort of segregation that went on back in the days in NZ where a Black Panther leader was called to give advice on the situation. I believed this name came to like in NZ. I live in the U.S .Blacks in American knows the struggle of being a different color back in the days of segregation before islanders even set foot in Merica . So because the islanders was going thru it in N.z even tho it’s the land of Kagaka Maoli ppl ,they had to summoned the leader of the Black Panther in America back then. They know what was up. Black Panther was about finding a way to resolve issues of ending segregation.Soldiers of peace not violence in America so this has been a big influence with that islander group in NZ and named it Black Power. We know the struggle of being a different color . We just need to show the world that we can be like able and not be afraid of us melanin children of the Israelites. We all can live in harmony and peacefully with our caucasian bros n sisters.

not quite the Polynesian Panthers grew in numbers during the 70s as a result of the Dawn Raids which were police raids on overstayers, and following in the footsteps of the Black Panthers of America the also dealt with racism and all that stuff that was heavy back in the the 70's alongside the Maori group Tino Rangatiratanga who were fighting for stolen Maori lands and cultural rights and those sorts of things that indigenous people deal with, not to mention the south African
springbok rugby Tour of 81 that divided the country and resulted in protests, demonstrations and massive fights with maori and polynesian and some pakeha coming together to take on police, to fight against apartaied in Africa which the then springbok team was full on racists major disruptions all race related, and at that time the gangs would have all joined in Black Power their number one rivals the Mongrel Mob all fighting for the same cause. As they still do from time to time these days. Black Power started more from the days of Maori moving from the country to the city to get work and these were the kids of those who many were taken by police and sent into borstals and social welfare homes run by the state where many street gangs originated from and mostly from groups of guys who stuck together and fought the other groups Thats just a basic outline, if any members want to go into details of their history I will leave that up to them
