      The buff can double as an emergency face covering, its generous length means you can fold it over so it has 2-3 layers over your face and nose

    Great video - i appear to have almost everything shown apart from that travel wash bag, which is ingenious! I also use Old Spice antiperspirant as it smells great so i don’t need to bring a separate scent spray.
    As i wear contact lenses I also carry a small plastic camping mirror, its only about the size of an iPhone so nice an compact. In addition i carry some duct tape wrapped around a sharpie pen, some nail clippers, a stick of lip balm, dental floss (doubles as a washing line if needed) and some 8g pots of Martmite which i eat daily on toast as I find it stops me being bitten by bugs! I usually only take carry-on luggage but on the rare occasions I have luge to place in the hold of a plane I treat myself to also bringing a Gerber Suspension multi tool, a waiter’s friend corkscrew and a foil cutter.
    One last tip is that I always grab some see through plastic bags at customs in preparation for my next trip. I keep my liquids such as hand gel, contact lens solution and marmite pots in one bag ready to place on the customs conveyor belt and other full of toiletries/meds (such as solid antiperspirant, paracetamol, band aids) in a similar bag. Here’s looking forward to safe travelling again sometime soon!

    • @PackingLess

      Great tips, I also grab those clear resealable bags whenever I come across them. The marmite is interesting, I personally prefer vegemite ;) haha

    They are mostly handy items, USB cable is super handy , however if apple switched the iPhone to USB C like everyone else it would be less needed, and new items should not have mini , i look forward to the day where it is not needed and you can just have one nice USBc cable to charge everything . Never did see the need for a travel pillow or a buff tho myself. Chars have headrests :) , i never did get a cold neck and my eyes have eyelids :).
    Using a waterproof bag a a washing machine ...... that is genius !

    • @PackingLess
      @PackingLess  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah mostly just 'useful and handy' items that I've found very practical during my travels. I plan to do a dedicated video on washing with the dry bag very soon.

    I almost have the same things. The antibacterial wipes I have 1-pack. It's easier and takes less space bc u can bring only a few if you're going to town. I find it easier also bc you need to be careful when u close that bag you have so that it's airtight, or else they are gonna dry out. To bring a small bottle is also an option as u say.
    Instead of that pillow I would bring a power switch.
    The heroclip is a very useful product and the collapsible water bottle as well. I have the waterbottle from hydrapac- flux.

    • @PackingLess

    I had the Vapur bottles a few years but it was leaking from time to to time so I kinda lost faith in it and got a platypus bottle. That one didn't failed on me so far and is even smaller. It doesn't have a karabiner but I don't like stuff hanging on my bag anyway. I also really love the small sea to summit hanging toiletry bag, you might wanna check it out.

    • @PackingLess
      @PackingLess  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I actually originally had a platypus bottle and I liked it but the screw lit or pop top lid weren't that great to drink from and the lack of carabiner made it hard to hang it on my bag while I was walking. I've owned several Vapur bottles from since they were made in USA to china. I also had some older versions leak, but the newer versions have slightly improved designs, I can see the changes they made to the molding and seams. None of the new ones Ive got have leaked so far.
      I actually use a Sea to Summit 'see pouch' as my toiletry bag. I prefer it because its lighter and smaller, I dont personally really like the hanging toiletry bags.

  • @Zeriel00

    Heroclips are a rippoff, who on their right mind would pay 20$ per clip with 3 sizes thats already more expensive than a good quality day pack. Also who would think its a good idea to leave their expensive bags hanging somewhere? I'm so tired of everybody shilling so hard for these things.
    The rest are great, especially the dry bag washing is genius!

    I don't like that cable, I travel with c to c cables and one small adapter case
    The c to c cables allow you to keep the cable plugged to the battery, burry the battery in the bag, and then use the other side of the cable straight in to a type female part of your wall charger.
    That way you can charge the portable battery and use the portable battery to charge your devices without taking the charger out of the bag.
    Does that make sense?

    What soap do you use to wash your clothes on the go?

    • @PackingLess
      @PackingLess  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've used a few different ones, dr bronners is one, most recently I use a multipurpose shampoo/soap bar for my clothes and it works well. Some places like Thailand you can buy mini laundry powder sachets at 7-11 too which is handy if you want to deep clean your clothes

    • @Zeriel00
      @Zeriel00 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Check out the Boss soap is a black bar. A bit expensive but works as a soap, shampoo, conditioner and you could use it with clothes too. The only thing this soap doesnt do is my taxes.
