"Avatar" Mountain & Wulingyuan Scenic Area, Zhangjiajie, China [Amazing Places 4K]

- One of the most stunning and beautiful places in the world, the Wulingyuan Scenic Area in China's Hunan Province has more than 3,000 sandstone pillars and peaks, some higher than 200 meters/660 feet. Its amazing views became inspiration for the "Avatar" movie and it is on the list of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The Wulingyuan Scenic Area includess 4 parts, all covered in the video: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Suoxi Valley Nature Reserve, Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve and the Yangjiajie Scenic Area.
This video covers all 4 National Parks in the Wulingyuan Scenic Area, including stunning views from all major trails and the 3 cable cars and the Balong elevator.

Been there and spent 10 most beautiful days of my life in this magical mesmerizing place. And no, none of the videos or pictures do even half justice to the majestic nature of this place.
I was there 2 years ago. Stunningly beautiful and so is the small town next to it. Words cannot describe its awesomeness. Be there to see and feel it yourself.

if you like this kind of scenery i can also suggest huangshan, sanqingshan, huashan, zhangye danxia - to name a few. bear in mind the air quality in zhangjiajie is often not great

@@BenBen-bt9to nope, its definitely air pollution. i have spent over 3 weeks in the park in 3 seperate years. i check the air quality index daily and on days when the yuanjiajie station aqi was 100+ you definitely notice the pollution.

Tops of mountains are completely lid by green coloured and very rayer pink colored trees also some portion come in view clean wheather and amazing nature whole this designs to make this place very good hill station. Rope ways and lift systems is also seen......

Nature's wonder,nature created with white stones and lush greenery shows its might.
Zhangjiajie is the most beautiful mountain in our planet. I was there like 10 years ago and was followed by 40 to 50 monkeys when walked through steams and valleys there .

One of the most beautiful places on the planet 😍.
What is so very amazing is the trees that grow so prolifically on what has to be some of the thinnest soil on the planet. This is one of those extra-terrestrial scenes that exist in a very small corner of the world that was discovered for a movie. Otherwise we wouldn't ever had been made aware of its existence. Zhangjiajie is one of the most famous spots in China and was famous longggg before Avatar.
The soil there is red like blood and extremely fertile. I guess this used to be the bottom of sea before the continental crack up.

I must say although this video is excellent, it doesn't capture how stunning and breathtaking the view and everything is, especially first thing in the morning after sunrise, of the mountains and trees and fog and mist ... You literally feel like you are in heaven! Even photographs cannot capture that sensation! I highly recommend going there and experiencing it first hand yourselves.

We see a lot of pictures and footage of the Grand Canyon in US ,which in its own right is spectacular ,but I've never seen such an amazing place as this .it looks like China's Grand Canyon but with trees! It's out of this world in fact it's more spectacular with the mist clinging to the rocks. Thanks for the tour ,breath taking!

This is the most mind-blowing place I have ever been to, considering I have traveled a lot. One week of exploring that place is far from enough. We went in the summer. I think it will also be a different experience to go in each the 3 other seasons. That area has far more outstanding sights than was shown in this video. But thanks Amazing Places, great footage.
My classmate who was born in that area said winter is the best season to visit there...
I've been to China so many times and still haven't visited this place. I always heard it was a must see, and your video really makes it even more amazing that I could ever imagine it would be. Your video really inspired me to go next time I go back to China.
This place is beautiful. And the time I went there the weather is perfect, with some cloud underneath the hill, a lot of those hill is like floating in the sky. And the cloud was moving make the hill seems they are moving.

The content of this film is so awe inspiring. What bothers me though is that a significant amount of people give this a thumbs down. If you are not uplifted by shear natural beauty then you clearly have problems in your life. I know because I have been there. The need to pore scorn over everything becomes overwhelming and serves only to reinforce your own sense of resentment and the affirmation that life is shit. Yes it is, but you must for your own sake, find the strength to acknowledge that life can be better. OK rant over. Thanks for reading.
