"Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia on Sunday downplayed her attendance and speaking slot at a fringe right-wing conference with ties to white nationalists earlier this weekend. She first told CBS News that she didn't know who the organizers of the event were and their views.
Greene, who was in Orlando, Florida, to attend and speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), was also a surprise guest miles away at the America First Political Action Conference (AFPAC). That event was organized by Nick Fuentes, a white nationalist who started the event in 2020. Fuentes attended the "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville in 2017.
Congressman Paul Gosar of Arizona spoke at the same event in 2021 and sent in a pre-record 30-second clip to AFPAC this year. Former Congressman Steve King of Iowa, who was taken off the U.S. House committees for racist remarks, also spoke at this year's conference. Idaho Lieutenant Governor Janice McGeachin also attended."

The nazis were the German National Socialist Party, North Korea is a communist regime, Fidel Castro ruled Cuba under a communist regime. I actually have more respect for someone who was once on the other side of a political issue then changed their mind than someone who has always been on the "correct" side.

I know this isn't the main point: but Fuentes is wrong about the diversity of China and Russia.
China is a country with over 2 billion people. You really think they are all clones of one another? There's alot of cultural and ethnic diversity between all corners of China.
Russia is a country that spans two continents, and borders both Norway and North-Korea. (Both are short borders, but still.) There are also different cultures and ethnicities spread across Russia.

As a reminder, speakers at these events in previous years included former leader of a Neo-Nazi group that outright praised Nazi Germany and called for the Nazification of America Patrick Casey, massive racist Steve King, and this year Joe Arpaio who was literally applauded when he said he had a reputation as the biggest racist in the country, and Jared Taylor who describes himself as a "race realist" and believes in segregation being a good thing.
Even other Republicans condemned those of them who attended this event. This is not left vs right, this everyone else vs white supremacists. Again, literally the kind of event where people who want to Nazify America speak at. Not an exaggeration at all. Do YOU support those kinds of people? Greene does based on her going to their political meeting to speak. Republicans can and should do better. This COUNTRY can and should do better.
