Most people still say Oriental, they keep changing what is right or wrong to say, what is wrong with it ?? If people say Asian then they think or Indian or Pakistani people etc..not Chinese or Japanese etc..
Why point this out when it is clear he didn't realise! i didn't know until a year or so ago as i have known Oriental to be correct for my entire life ! don't get all bent out of shape and snowflakish about it! the best thing to say is did you realise that the term is no longer acceptable and that the correct thing to say is ....
