i get that you probably mostly play in raids, but saying that the BiS utility for straight dps "doesnt do anything" makes me feel like you dont really know the spec (1:55). there are plenty of fights where predation isnt needed and you can take the cheaper ravage to get an extra gore per rotation
So double gore. That is another rotation and is only really possible with Overwhelming Slashes. Yes it's virtually the same and it is stronger than the one I presented in this video. However, I did not know about double gore until I was nearly done with editing and really didn't want to re-shoot to explain double gore. And there's the fact that you are giving up predation to achieve double gore. You need to know the fights that double gore are feasible in. If Bioware hadn't partially tied Steel Self into predation, I'd probably recommend double gore for the majority of fights. Having aoe reduction every 30 secs is pretty nice. Not to mention the 10% defense predation applies outright to both you and your entire operation group. This is subjective of course, you can still get steel self every time you use cloak of pain or bloodthirst but thats only every minute and 5 minutes. Plus it is better for newer carnage players to learn this rotation first and then double gore. It'll help them get better at rage management. Which is important because you can slide double gore in and out into this rotation without Overwhelming Slashes if you're keeping track of your rage and you time it right, but it does take time to develop the skill necessary to do so. So in short, that BiS utility you're losing your mind over wasn't BiS for a while for most carnage players when 7.1 dropped, especially for a rotation that doesn't need it. And yes, you need to make the distinction. You're either using non double gore or you are using double gore. Amazing how replacing one massacre changes the whole thing into a new rotation.
@@thegamingronin you dont even need overwhelming slashes for double gore, you can also just use rage generation on cloak of pain, which you also didn't recommend. And ive never said that double gore is a huge change in rotation, just that its worth to consider it
I am working on one, but honestly its not fully needed. Rotation wise Carnage didn't change, it just received a damage nerf in the 7.2 update meaning the rotation in this guide is still valid. Though there are some things I want to clean up which is why I'm working on a 7.2 update at all.
I use 300(gold) augs, and for carnage I primarily use critical. Augment stats are going to depend on your individual item rating. Carnage has a built in 3% alacrity which makes things easier since you don't need as much alacrity in you gear.

Did i saw 94k damage?
Your a monster bro

Sucks Carnage is going back to the basement with the 7.2 nerf
what nerf?

@@thegamingronindon't mind me asking but as a relatively new player where can I find the vault relics your using?
