The Resistance is another great Skillet song, and also their song "Hero." I like Jen Ledger's backing vocals while she is playing drums, there is just something really appealing about her voice and they way it fits into the song.
Truly are an amazing band. Jen Ledger is multi talented behind that kit, and her side band "Ledger" is also worth checking out. I know you just do paid requests, and if someone doesn't pay for it, check it out on your own. "Not Dead Yet" is a great OMV to see. Lacey Sturm of Flyleaf is Jen's stand in when their tours clash. Just 2 weeks before I see them with Seether, and the full VIP experience. Can't wait!! 🤘
One of my favorites from them. I like the songs when Jen sings with John more. The cello and violin players are touring musicians, not full members of the band. "Hero" is another good one to check out.
Unfortunately Jonathan Cho on violin left the band entirely. Tate Olsen on cello still tours, but they haven't been writing new songs that include strings.
Yeah, it is hard to decide between some of the live and music videos. Not Gonna Die has a pretty cool cinematic video, but the live are so much fun. I have no idea how Jen pulled off a section of that intro to 'Sick of It'. I could see how someone could do that in studio with multiple takes, but live?! I'm a Rush/Neil Peart fan and Jen just got a rung closer. (Bit of trivia: John made Jen audition for the band with 'Tom Sawyer' by Rush, thinking she wouldn't be able to do it. Apparently, she killed it.)
They are an incredible band (incredible people, too). I got to see them live a few months back. If you ever get a chance, they aren't to be missed! recommendations... so many, but 'I Want to Live', 'Comatose', 'Whispers in the Dark', 'Not Gonna Die', 'The Resistance', 'Surviving the Game', 'Victorious', 'Psycho in My Head', 'Save Me' (Live London), 'Hero'... that will get you started. :) If you want a little treat of just Jen singing, she has a solo project and did this version of 'My Arms' at home on the couch with just an acoustic guitar backing.
