- The TRUE official coverage of the 2024 NZ Sprintcar title feature from Lucas Oil Western Springs Speedway.
With all the dramas of lack of power to the venue and many other things the fans turned out in force for this big event. The venue still had all the effects of the storm damage from last summer but the team at Western springs Speedway enabled this event to happen though the massive effort of so many people and while the event had some broadcast issues as a result of these elements this is the true and offcial coverage from the 2024 title decider.
Someone needs to sort that track out its an absolute disgrace
0:00 demoman will be like Ahh some Scrumby!
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 yeah is there gonna be firewood
Godzilla it’s on the video I’m asking
Honestly what a complete load of pre-race crap and non drama. Just get on with the racing.

Could they possibly have turned out a worse condition track??????
The car that caused that crash at the beginning managed to get through undamaged
The track condition caused the crash, woeful preparation as usual...
Awesome, thanks for posting
I race speedway and I’m w1

That track is too damn narrow. They need to move the inner track boundary a few feet inward.
Some proper track prep wouldn't hurt either,
but then I don't know what kind of clay they have to deal with in NZ.
Might be doing the best with what they have.
Wow! I was 3 years old on my first ever visit to Western Springs! 1972. Apparently I lmao when the midgets came out. Got to watch Trevor Morris drive against Barry Butterworth. Got to see Ole Olsen vs Trevor Mauger on the bikes. Many many years ago.
You can almost throw a stone from one end to the other, Not my kind of track. Crowded low speeds.
Should be called Sprint to the yellow, sprint to the yellow.
Race Start 16:52
Jees what a dry boring couple of announcers.
mute then
Agree .. That's all part of the appeal for me about dirt racing. Practical Kiwi's making a go of things. Not rich boys and their toys, and all the BS that goes with it.
... Dig Up... I Mean Bring Back 'Murray Walker'... "" GO! GO! GOOOO!… ""... 9:52
What sort of shite coverage did I just give up watching due to poor editing. Restart, not
That track is still legendary dangerous, because of its preparation ! It's destroyed so many cars and drivers.....
... Kiwi's Have Always been able to Tough it Out... And Civilised With It... 🏴✌️🏁🏁🏁 3:24
Sounds alot like one of the Adelaide tracks which was no surprise when it closed since they ran it into the ground so much that both spectators and drivers started to boycott it!
@@TS-1267 Yup, until they cannot race anymore due to head injury , ...the track used to be cinder it was mint, some race nights the burm can be over a foot and a half high, I've been told because of all the houses around the track the staff are only allowed fk all time to prep it due to noise complaints, every body has a choice to run their but it doesn't make the track any less dangerous,...it's days are limited, be sad to see it closed...
