Yes, I remember the exhaust having a sporty snarl, going through various resonances, as the revs built - like the Fiat 124 of that era especially if the silencer was past it's best. People would look around to see what was making such a glorious noise lol !!

Would be great if you could catch the sporty exhaust note from outside (actually you can just about hear the nice exhaust resonance just after 0:11 if you turn the volume up) Could you possibly correct the video title to Morris 1800 S when you've got a moment, the extra carb., different cam & higher compression does make the car a lot more appealing imo (MGB engine).
I remember my Dad`s 1800S having a lower, throatier exhaust note than the standard, they must be very rare now,

The dash was the same style as the 1100/1300 models.
