I have been using atn x~sight hd for over 5 years. I follow atn4k all the time. And have enough knowledge about both products. I will always use hd though. But the reason is different from what is said in the video. First, the hd model, which I have used for 5 years. I have fully figured out all program bugs and working status. Can take full control of it. As for the 4K model, I heard from friends that there are some white screen program bugs that must be returned to the factory to solve. This is a fatal flaw for people in remote worlds. Second, the video quality of the two is basically the same. 4k doesn't have a huge boost. Some even say hd wins slightly. Third, as a Revenant jumping on rocks and rolling in swampy mud. My baby has been knocked and bumped many times and still works fine. I agree with the view that hd is more powerful. Of course hd is also heavier. Fourth, about the battery. Once the built-in battery is damaged, it is difficult to replace it. Damage to the built-in battery may lead to damage to the circuit board. We don't feel like we use our phones every day. We don't pay attention to scopes every day. It is only used on weekends or rest days, and some people even use it once a month. For such a device that is not used very frequently. A removable battery is a better option. Fifth, about battery life. I will definitely not choose external wires and external batteries. That would be broken by the branches. And that usb interface is extremely easy to damage. I will carry more constant voltage lithium batteries with me. Very light and convenient. I have to keep the scope powered on all the time. I can't wait for him to power up slowly since the opportunity is only a few seconds away. Sixth, hd supports multiple languages. 4k support is limited in variety. In the end, I wouldn't buy 4k for so many reasons. I’ve had one for years it’s the best set up I’ve ever had had minimum issues mainly due to my lack of knowledge not the fault of the sight this man hasn’t got a clue about what he’s on about it has auto shut off and you can use a power bank to charge as you use it, I’ve used it in the pissing down rain with no problems and any scope will break if you drop it brain box his scope in the video wasn’t broken he is talking out his arse the battery is perfect as well I’ve had mine for years maybe 4-5 years and it’s still fine holds hours and hours of charge to this day nothing this man has said is true.
There’s a setting to turn the scope off after 15 min already in the settings, much less it last 18 hours or less and of corse it’ll break if you drop it, it’s a scope, also why dose it matter if the battery dies they will replace the scope, I think you need to do some research on it.
I couldn't agree more. I don't think he spent enough time behind this scope. He complains about a battery that lasts 18 hours. Honestly it sounds like he is trashing it for some other personal bias because his complaints really arent legitimate, This is a $700 scope and I found it to be extremely useful and durable. Best buy for the money.
Man I have a Halo XRF and the ATN X-Sight 4K Pro 5x as a backup optic. I fricken love my ATN. Shot a double a few weeks ago and the video turned out awesome. Never loses zero. Tons of run time. Super clear optic. Just posted a fox at 313 yards from last night. Had it been in season it was an easy shot. The X-SIGHT 4k Is a bad ass unit. Especially with the ABL. Is it perfect? No. My XRF isn't either.
@@301NightCrew It’s a good scope less the. Battery thing and the lack of altitude sensor witch is not a problem till longer then 700 yrds I had not shot my older scope 4 like a yr and 1st shot was only off 1 foot at 576 yards.
Your comment about the older scope and I assume that because it has the sensors built into the scope. I called ATN about the sensors for alt etc. and they said the reason it's not in the new scopes is that it never quite worked correctly so not there anymore. also if you buy the older scope, it's not fixable from them as it's discontinued.
All of your complaints will basically fit any digital scope. The atn xsight 2 is clunky as hell and the AA batteries last under an hour. 18 hrs far better than under 1.
I installed this optic on a crossman 760 air rifle.I have now shot the riffle around 500 times during target/plinking practice, and the th-cam.com/users/postUgkxc4K63Fd5LglDMObu7-Bgapxp_ef0W8hE scope has done well. With this optic, I have neutralized around 30 pigeons that were invading one of my buildings. For my short range air rifle, I will continue to use this scope, but will be upgrading to a more powerful scope, when I buy a more powerful air rifle, in order to shoot at longer distance. For the money I have spent, this scope has truly been a great buy.
They put the focus ring at the front of the scope. What dip shot designed that thing??? Instead of using your fingers like on a parallax scope, you need to move your whole arm which animals will see close range. Buttons are loud as hell too. Good grief
The older ATN x-sight HD ll but u must also buy kentli battery just use the 720p setting if u don't like "jello" video u can only get the 14x or 20x on ebay
This guy seems to be just looking for negging. Buddy as a person who had to figure things out in my head like range, spindrift, coreolis effect and bullet drop. This thing does everything except wipe your butt for you. If you're going to be out for over 18 hrs turn the scope off until you're ready. If you need more time take the charging cable and plug it into a solar power charger to top off the battery. The best way to avoid drop damage is don't drop it or bounce it around.
Don't drop it, Everything is charged with USB C connections these days. Doesn't take a genius to type in the temperature and altitude. Seems pretty nit picky to me
I dropped mine so many times. Once it fell off a picnic table. The picture started going bad. It was better when it was warm and had been on a while. Still was pretty good in the daytime. Today, it quit charging or even working with it plugged in.getting ready to tear it apart.
my point is the old atn scope at $700 had more features and better build quality the the new one...... O i guess that goes for all new things... cars appliances ect..... never mind.
I got one because supposedly was good; I bore sighted took ti the range, zeroed it and use it like three or four times and too many problems freezes, doesn’t keep it zero, the radical his way up to the right I send it to ATN for warranty waiting for repair, but no update yet.
The initial updating the firmware out of the box seems to be a common oversight when someone has these issues with this scope and is clearly explained to be a first required step for warrenty, ownership and personalization. As soon as you do, these problems are permanently gone and following up on newer updates is recommended but not required from then on if not done. It's not hard and atn will hold your hand for every step and walk you through any functions you want them to teach you.
Had mine on my .243 for well over a thousand rounds without a hitch. IR illuminator it came with is still in the box as I only use it for video in daylight or shooting with a spotlight at night. Three shots to true it in and it hasn't lost zero since. For the money it's been good to me.
Also, if the battery ever goes kaput I'll run an external battery pack. Take care of lithium batteries and they'll last a very long time. And you charge it with your phone charger that's plugged in my the night stand...my guns there anyway.
Old comment, I know. I'm looking to buy the scope, but reviews are killing this thing. People complain about the stock IR illuminater not helping past 20 yards. Also that it doesn't hold zero. As someone who's owned this scope for a while, what do you have to say about those points?
@@tacticalmurica9989 I live on a 48 acre farm and use her almost every single day. Scope is flawless I did upgrade the stock IR and got the super nova and that’s it! Got her dialed in for 300yrds and never once have I had to touch it. She stays on zero every time! I love it and it gets used a TON!
Sorry, but I’ve had my x-sight for years(4)to be exact, and hunt both day and night(hogs, deer mostly). The battery is still in tip top shape, it’s been banged and beaten(7 hour drive, to my hunting camp). I’ve had it on everything from a 5.56 to 30-06 and no complaints. I think your review is based on personal opinion and here say, and not actual facts. As far as the housing being poorly made, the issues I’ve seen and read about were due to the stresses that mounting the ABL without the supports you get with the scope to it. I also have NEVER had to enter weather or ballistic data into the scope to make highly accurate shots at distance(, and that’s hundreds of shots over 4 years). I zero it with each weapon system I put it on, save the data then move on to the next. I would highly recommend this scope
they sell a battery pack for it. the battery last so long per charge. usb c is fantastic for charging with and all new phones and devices use it. your phone with a gps can tell you your altitude. they sell a mountable range finder or handheld version that connects via bluetooth to the scope. the exclusions allow for a cheaper more financially accessible device. your only legitimate gripe is maybe the durability.
Nonsense, sensor data is taking from your phone via bluetooth. Battery lasts sooo long, you don't need to replace them. Entering distance is the only thing that needs a change, but that will hopefully be added in a new firmware. Breaking it takes a lot of force. You can break anything...
Also bass pro gives a 3 year warranty you can buy. Bring in get the money or get a new one. No questions asked. No sending it in or anything. That's what sold us. 🇺🇸 don't work? Bring it back.
I am doing research to buy my 1st IR night scope. Your negative reviews of ATN 4K are totally blown out of the water by the comments below. The comments are from real owners/users of this scope and I believe them more than I believe you. You may work for the competition, who knows. You don't have it mounted on a gun, you don't show your face.. Hmmmmm, Maybe you work for the ATF 🙂
This is actually a good school. But you’re not going to please everybody. And even the best stuff occasionally you’ll get stuck with a lemon. That does not mean they’re all bad. I have one of these. It’s a great scope and I’m glad I bought it. Mine is the 3 x 9 version. But it is still here regardless of what anybody says to the contrary a very good scope. You’re not going to please everybody. Somebody will always find something wrong with everything.
It's a starter scope for consumers. It's not military grade throw around. For the price and its capabilities It's great. And as far as durability, wtf are you doing to your scopes. A good basic scope should be precision made and should be protected as anything precision is easily knocked out of wack.
I don't think anyone is taking your review seriously. You want a 5k dollar scope for 800. Is it night and day? Yes and very well. Does it hold zero? Again yes very well. Do I need to know elevation, pressure and temperature to shoot a coyote at 200 yards? No. I've had no issues and everyone I know that has one has had zero issues with any of the points you are trying to make.
I’ve got the 4k 5-20 on a 300 blackout bolt gun. It’s a piece of poo. The compass won’t calibrate even doing all of their stupid turns in a million different directions. It’s on the latest software too. The picture sucks, charge cord seems like you have to use theirs and it’s heavy. The buttons suck to use and it’s a pain to focus. 10/10 would not buy again.
All8 heard was: eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee…. Things take some effort to work. Maybe shooting isn’t your thing? Perhaps CoD is more you?
the one video out of many that says "DO NOT BUY PURCHASE". I love mine and it does the job on those yotes and hogs. It was the best buy and only buy I could have made when it comes to night vision... I looked and got this and stopped looking. sorry you had a bad experience but us being human we are all entitled to out own opinion on things.
Man, it’s a $500 scope…not sure what you are expecting. You need to go spend 3k or more to make you happy. This is made cheaper for more people to afford it
So then your afraid of smart phones too? That's basically what these scopes are. IR and thermal scopes are not the old vintage redfeilds or Leopold's that you keep for 20 or 30 years and stick on one rifle for its life. I dont understand people worrying about that they wont last 10 years... with in 10 years the scope that is top of the line today would be obsolete and besides if you put back $15 bucks a month for 10 years you'd have $1800 bucks to buy and new one and you could still sell the old one for probly 100 bucks not working on marketplace lol
This may be the worst review I’ve ever seen. I don’t ever comment on videos, but felt the need to. Don’t drop it. Don’t take it in pouring rain. Wow… you have to do one full turn for each 25 yards… gtfoh
ATG & I agreed with you that the 4K Pro sucks. Many killers that shoot with scopes costing more than $500 know how to clean. This junk won't allow killers to replace a battery. And why mount a brick then more weights just to get light & setting?
I've used this scope for multiple hunts and I have yet had any battery issues. AND, it's been spot on. Took down a 14 point with it last year.

Best night vision scope for money is pulsar c50 with electrooptics that i currently own, never ever gonna buy atn again.
Your comments/concerns all seem legit Sir! And since they cut the cost and don't sell the older model, I opted out ATN and instead I bought Arken zulus, rangefinder, ballistic calculator/indicator, and replaceable batteries, that's all I need.
Nothing,,,
If you have no cell signal, how are you going to input the temp/altitude into the scope?
I have had my ATN 4k night vision since 2003 with no issues what so ever and I believe it’s a Big Bang for your Buck and is a over all good scope
Since 2000
2003 ?
There’s a setting to turn the scope off after 15 min already in the settings, much less it last 18 hours or less and of corse it’ll break if you drop it, it’s a scope, also why dose it matter if the battery dies they will replace the scope, I think you need to do some research on it.
I couldn't agree more. I don't think he spent enough time behind this scope. He complains about a battery that lasts 18 hours. Honestly it sounds like he is trashing it for some other personal bias because his complaints really arent legitimate, This is a $700 scope and I found it to be extremely useful and durable. Best buy for the money.
He has no clue what he’s talking about mate it’s pure bullshit 😂
Is this scope made in China?
Man I have a Halo XRF and the ATN X-Sight 4K Pro 5x as a backup optic. I fricken love my ATN. Shot a double a few weeks ago and the video turned out awesome. Never loses zero. Tons of run time. Super clear optic. Just posted a fox at 313 yards from last night. Had it been in season it was an easy shot. The X-SIGHT 4k Is a bad ass unit. Especially with the ABL. Is it perfect? No. My XRF isn't either.
Just wait till battery dies
@@mjwdrones4all41 I have insurance on it. I just get a new one. I carry insurance on all my electronics including game calls. 🥂
@@301NightCrew
@@301NightCrew It’s a good scope less the. Battery thing and the lack of altitude sensor witch is not a problem till longer then 700 yrds I had not shot my older scope 4 like a yr and 1st shot was only off 1 foot at 576 yards.
“I’ll just send it back….” Ya, in the meantime you are out of a scope that you paid good money for that doesn’t work!!
It shuts off automatic,,
It kept getting bumped back on wile traveling. Power button way to exposed.
All of your complaints will basically fit any digital scope. The atn xsight 2 is clunky as hell and the AA batteries last under an hour. 18 hrs far better than under 1.
U must use kentli Li.on AA batteries or yes is trash
Good grief
So what is better under $700?
I own one, you're full of it.
Gold that is......
He’s full of shite mate I have one and it’s mint av had it for years aswell and had no bother with it
@@barryholmes6993 my guess u don't go out and hunt with it just sits at home.
Battery. Is that why so many are on Ebay are factory refurbished ?
That or firmware were problems
Don't drop it,
Everything is charged with USB C connections these days.
What do you expect for an 800 digital scope? I have solutions for your problems. Don't leave your scope on and don't drop it off you don't have to.
my point is the old atn scope at $700 had more features and better build quality the the new one...... O i guess that goes for all new things... cars
appliances ect.....
It has automatic shut off I don't understand this guy,,,
I’m still trying to get mine to pair.
Going on 3 years and still love mine. Dropped 5 coyotes with it tonight
Same here mine has been GREAT!
even if i couldnt see your hands.. i can tell your complaints are that of a geezer.
they sell a battery pack for it. the battery last so long per charge. usb c is fantastic for charging with and all new phones and devices use it. your phone with a gps can tell you your altitude. they sell a mountable range finder or handheld version that connects via bluetooth to the scope. the exclusions allow for a cheaper more financially accessible device. your only legitimate gripe is maybe the durability.
In another video he says that scopes break right by the rings... he also has it mounted on a bulpub 50 cal lol
Nonsense, sensor data is taking from your phone via bluetooth. Battery lasts sooo long, you don't need to replace them. Entering distance is the only thing that needs a change, but that will hopefully be added in a new firmware.
Breaking it takes a lot of force. You can break anything...
@@drummerdude0314 he probably tightens his scopes with a 3/4 ratchet too🤦♂️
I think what you need is the Eotech Infrared Thermal Mk2 Clip-on Ir Long Range you would be much happier .
I have 3 of them. I love em
Thanks from Indonesia
Complain Complain Complain.... damn
I hunt with my atn all the time for hogs. I havent a 1 issue. For the money it does the job just fine.
I have mind love it this folk just don’t like it
I’ve got the 4k 5-20 on a 300 blackout bolt gun.
Like all optics, be careful...Great on my 22lr
I think this guy is just being obtuse !
Ik how to slove all your problems.
Learn how to shoot
Don't drop it
Recharge it lol
It's 6 to 800 dollars.
I love mine. Total game changer.
Mine works great!
All8 heard was: eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee…. Things take some effort to work.
Maybe shooting isn’t your thing? Perhaps CoD is more you?
Most of the scopes are not designed to be dropped :)
This is a cheap scope. Great for the one that wants to get in on night hunting.
I wish you told me earlier. Junk came to my house broken.
Altimeter? Barometer? Get real.
the one video out of many that says "DO NOT BUY PURCHASE". I love mine and it does the job on those yotes and hogs. It was the best buy and only buy I could have made when it comes to night vision... I looked and got this and stopped looking. sorry you had a bad experience but us being human we are all entitled to out own opinion on things.
Got a feeling most of these comments are coming from sales associates of atn…..
Man, it’s a $500 scope…not sure what you are expecting. You need to go spend 3k or more to make you happy. This is made cheaper for more people to afford it
Great product
Ive come to find that people like this guy will complain about anything, regardless of how much hes paid for it and how great it performs..
i think you need somebody to hold you hand, had mine for years no problems
Their customer support is nonexist. You cannot reach atn by any means. They will not support their product.
Not a good review, u haven't had it long enough half of what you said was what if and other people's anecdotes no real testing
the internal battery scares me 😬😬😬😬😬😬😬
I hate internal non-replaceable batteries
I know it's the worst just screams throw me in the trash !!!!
The original one can use a battery pack plugged into it! It adds to the weight but lasts ages rather than 10 minutes per set of batteries 🤣
Use KENTLI li-on Rechargeable AA battery's all features will be enabled and gets 6 - 8 hrs out of use on the older atn scope.
This may be the worst review I’ve ever seen. I don’t ever comment on videos, but felt the need to. Don’t drop it. Don’t take it in pouring rain. Wow… you have to do one full turn for each 25 yards… gtfoh
Because you cant operate it, duuuh
This just seems very whinge-like from someone who's hard to please and regularly evades Darwin
Show me on the doll where ATN hurt you…

ATG & I agreed with you that the 4K Pro sucks. Many killers that shoot with scopes costing more than $500 know how to clean.
This junk won't allow killers to replace a battery. And why mount a brick then more weights just to get light & setting?
I’ve got the original atn x😊 it’s great as long as you have a power pack as batteries last about ten minutes 🫣
