I will say this though, once I got past the reality in my mind that "This is not a sportscar" It's just a family car that's kind of fast, I was ok after that. I took a 1000 mile one way drive and the comfort of it made me stop complaining so much about it except when the rotors warped after 6000 miles.
Cvt kills it for me. My dad owned a 2013-2015 altimas and the transmissions in every single one went out before 120k miles. Plus the CVT gives you this rubber band effect that makes the car feel unnatural. I dont understand why they havent moved over to a dual clutch set up like there competitors
I never really felt the rubber band effect everyone is talking about until driving this car. It does feel un-natural for sure. A dual clutch is great, one of my favorite transmissions out there is VW/Audi/Porsche (PDK) dual clutch, but it does require a bit of extra maintenance. I think a traditional 8 speed auto would do the Altima wonders!
I just bought one and i love it. I traded my Sentra SR in on it. The only thing i can't find is the amplifier in the Altima because my Sentra had one between the two speakers in the back. Am i over looking it or does it not have one? Please let me know.
I noticed that too, it didn’t feel like 248 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. Could be because of the CVT transmission though. But, overall pretty nice car for the money and I’m sure there’s discounts from dealers and rebates from Nissan on them.
Selling my 2024 legacy xt for this gonna lease i hate that there's few real buttons the slot machine screen is horrible lag almost as bad as the turbo lag and the ac is horrible go with the nissan i can't beleive I'm saying this

How would you compare the two cars?
Give it another month or so if not already. The trans is clunky and noisy asf feels like it's always slipping.
how do you like it now?
I still love it. But it is a slow take off to be a turbo. Wish it could've been a 2.5 turbo to get it closer to 300 hp like the honda civic.
