- My first day of snowboarding in Stowe, Vermont started late but was a great warm up. Third time I've ever snowboarded and it just gets better all the time like Winn-Dixie.....

My son and daughter in law both work at Lodge at Spruce Peak in Stowe. I was there last in September absolutely beautiful.
I'm sure they love getting to see those views all the time. Definitely a beauty.
I love Stowe I usually go once or twice a season and head out west too. But Stowe always impresses. Even the spring conditionins are good. I also recommend jay peak, it’s right by the Canadian border and gets pilled with snow and usually it’s not crowded unlike stowe dope video.
Thanks man. Hopefully that's on the next pass I get. I try to go to a few places a season too. When flyings a bit easier I'm gona try to make it to the slopes

my first and only time at Stowe was about 20 years ago with my dad (who has since passed away)... we rented ski-boards, and apart from it being unbelievably cold, it was snowing a bit and we had a blast... having just visited their website, curious how much lift tickets were, to find out they're about $140 each, it's a bit ridiculous to be honest... I'm sure it's even nicer than I remember, but these activities are becoming so expensive, I'm sure it detracts a lot of people... if a family of 4 (husband, wife, and two kids) wanted to drive up on a Friday and spend the weekend, that's almost $300 a person just in lift tickets alone ($1200ish), not even factoring in lodging (which I'm sure is outrageous) and overpriced ski lodge food... and if they need rentals and lessons, it's easily over $2000 for a weekend ski trip... can you even enjoy the experience at that point, or are you thinking of how much money you are spending the entire time? sucks really... these activities shouldn't be reserved for the people with big, fancy jobs, but should be financially accessible for everyone to enjoy... this is not directed at you, Mr. UGM Dynamics, but at Stowe mountain themselves... just my opinion really
First off, sorry for your loss regardless of how long ago it happened.
Second, I completely understand what you're saying. The first time I went snowboarding was in breckinridge Colorado back in 2015 and I had the exact experience you are describing. Now, the only way I'll go on any slopes is with a season pass which of course means I have to go multiple times to get my moneys worth. Since that first time I got my own equipment and all that so food, lodging (usually an Airbnb with friends) and the plane ticket are my main expenses. Things definitely get way too expensive way too quick when you have to come out of your pocket for EVERYTHING and I have nowhere near enough money to even think about paying for even one other person to come with me 😅

Are those Burton Step Ons? If so, how do you like them?
Yea they are. They are convenient as hell. Even if you get the stiffest boots for them they might not be as rigid as regular strap in bindings but its good for me.
