We appreciate any content you are able to provide, we are fortunate to have Masters and IM's and GM's on line just pumping out free content for us fans!
Thanks for posting so frequently, we all really appreciate the top-quality content. Having said that, look after yourself! I know of other TH-camrs that have experienced burnout to some degree, and your well-being is more important than posting regularly. Lastly, thanks for being a great example of how to lose graciously; rare to see on the internet.
Hugs for being burned out/overworked John. Take it easy!! That's easier said than done when you're self-employed, but it's still valid advice... Good luck and hugs again!
I love how on his 2nd game, when he was keep getting attacked, he says like "oh!...hmf!...yikes!"...because most of us uses 4 letter words when that happens...
Love that Kan! Long-time fan of the Harry attack in these variations, too. Much good fun will be had! Didn't someone once say "don't be boring, play the Kan"? Yes, I did say that, I'm sure. Ginger Simon may have had something to say about that pawn from time to time as well...? ;-)
john at 13:13 ...ng3+, hxg3, nxg3, Qxg3, Bxh4 skewering queen and rook and a discovered check coming, if Qxg7 then Bf6+ is good for black and your queen and rook are lining up at h1 for more fun. OOps nevermind, the white queen is pinned and cant take at g3
That second game was awesome. Bxb4 trigger the my recall of you Undefended pieces video instantly. Still you got yourself into a very strong position against a guy who wrote on book on the opening. Just couldn't pull the trigger on the tactics. I wonder if Bc5+ would have been an ok response to Nxe6? Just admit the loss of a pawn. Maybe your King will end up exposed either way?
if you want a gimmick video idea, play concentration chess against an Alexa device. There's a chess game that comes with alexa that's supposed to be used in with a real board, but you can just issue verbal moves without the board. So play a game of concentration chess against alexa. thanks.
John, why don't you put a course for sale and sell it? You've already done the hard parts: being a likeable, knowledgeable person, with an advanced skillset, with a large audience. Why not monetize at this point? And you may say that you're not a GM yet or not ready to write a book or something, but as far as novices and mid-level players go, you could teach us a lot. Please consider it. Would buy from you in a heartbeat.
Hey, thanks for your kind words and support :) I'm a co-founder of Chessable, and I've made a few courses over there. My London System course is the most recent one: www.chessable.com/the-london-system-essential-theory/course/15820/?ref=jbrl I'd like to make more comprehensive improvement courses in the future; it's mainly just a question of time for me, since I'm always busy. But it's on my radar for sure :)
I just discovered your channel and I just want to say something. You're very good at chess and your videos are informative, but the way you daintily sip your beverage for less than half a second each time triggers me. Either drink it or don't. Why are you putting 3 drops into your mouth at a time?

Yep chess is a fairly easy topic to find on TH-cam!

This
Watching this with a nice cold beer in the Frankfurt airport! Thanks for helping make layovers more bearable!
John: Run the H pawn like a missile
Me: Gives up queen odds on move three once again
20:39 Your ability to find checkmate is amazing.
@27m35s absolute peak Midwest John accent with "I'm pretty sure" 😂

John, You have taught me so much about chess! I am doing a chess project for 4-H!
I love how on his 2nd game, when he was keep getting attacked, he says like "oh!...hmf!...yikes!"...because most of us uses 4 letter words when that happens...
Not 4 letter words
FUUUUUUUCKKK!!
"The bishop is trying to re-enter the chat guys."
Hahaha.
Good session, JB..thanks!

Happy late Fourth of July saw fireworks down by a river which was kinda cool
Wohoo! More John!
John thanks for idea of running the h pawn in the Kan variation. I will definitely try in my 10 min games.
Some interesting games, thanks for the great content John!

I always do well if I play immediately after watching your videos, TIA for future content!
Yeah same here. I think you imitate his thinking style IMO.
Appreciate the content John. Thank-you for what you do. Have you considered a patrion page?
Good composure, Mr. B. Tough games
wow that grandmaster kicked your ass
20:27... Trying to back rank John when he going for queen ♕ and u know he wants that babe coming in... Priceless!
:)12:50... “that was my first instinct move...”, Really, you don’t say...
John - you convinced me: I am showing that h-pawn every game.
Shoutouts to Simon.
Lovely session

Yes! A new video
John at 25:49 Rxd5 wins because Qxd5 and Nxe7+ wins the Queen
7:06 an interesting move would be Qc3 instead of Bb2, trade the queen for 2 rooks and a pawn.
How?
I like your opening to video
Harry the h-pawn needs a push! 😁
Golubev played very strong
10:17 Missed chance to take the rook on e4
Why would you give up a queen for a rook though?
@@samuelbruyneel because Knight Fork on g3
It's not black to play, the bishop was blocking the rook pin the move before.
@@Daggett1122 you are right, that was so fast, I had to watch it again in .5 speed
@@samuelbruyneel Yeah. you are right. That pre-move confused me of the actual position
Hey John can you suggest me book, video or coach to learn complete Sicilian theory???

I played someone named Magnus Carlson on Lichess, got so nervous I slipped my mouse and hung a bishop was all down hill from there.
Just change your handle to Eric Rosen and Magnus would have folded like a cheap suit...
@@brianjacob8728 lol
31:53 can someone explain why queen f7? Maybe save knight by doing Ne2? Is there a threat I am missing?
Nvm, just saw the rook threatening queen.
waiting for your video yesterday
John i have suggestion maybe u analyze some good games from every tournament

Hah. I'm just north of Minnesota here in Canada
Its interesting how its so predictable: IMs always beat NMs, but GMs always beat IMs
He’s wins against 40-50% of the GMs he runs into on Blitz.
Celebrate!? more like mourning the loss of our colony
Ah, jyeah.
h pawn as a weapon
So we understand that keeping the daily updates is crazy, But can you post at least once a week?
We love you, John.
h pawn?? What kind of Harry is that?
15:23 You call 8:41 pm "at night"? That's early evening for me. I rarely sleep before midnight.
What microphone do you use?
teeem sicilian hurr really any team except team Italian
I'm really curious, could you all tell me your elo rating at chess.com? Please? Xd
I win 5 games in a row, then I lose 5 games in a row. I watch your vids, and I win 5 games in a row ... guess what happens next?
you missed a win in game four

What a weird thing to get triggered over 😂 But since you asked, it's so I can make the beverage last for a 30+ minute session.
