Something a little different today! There's no denying that my Doki Doki Literature Club song has been a bit of a juggernaut on this channel, accounting for almost half of my entire view-count! And not long after I released the song waaay back in April, the wonderful guys over at Zamination got in touch to ask if they could produce an animated video for it.
8 months and a whole lot of hard work (from them, I had it pretty easy.) later and here it is! I'm super excited to be able to share this with you guys.

The thing that impressed me the most was that I could see their character traits through the animation! I am also impressed that they managed to tell their own story with the constraints that are the song and source material. They managed to add onto the original! Good Job!

An amazing animator + an amazing song writer? Count me the hell in! This video was awesome. I loved the original song the second it came out, and seeing it with such vibrant-and blocky-animation was pure eye candy, I had a blast listening and watching it! I love 3:41 because it portrays Monica’s one poem. It was like, she believed she was looking into our world, but really she was looking through her fake reality into the true reality. She comes to the realization that she’s the one looking out (of the computer screen) and we are the ones looking in.
I think there are two kinds of people in the world when it comes to finding out you’re in and have control over a simulation. You either:
1) Try and tell everyone, but everyone thinks you’re crazy, but when you try to show them, they go crazy, or
2) You use your powers for your own personal benefit.
There’s no in between.

Only squares, cubes, rectangles, and rectangular prisms (NERRRRDDD!!!) are the only shapes that are supposed to exist. Putting a circle in the mix is different... and sometimes "different" can be really scary. But that's just a _theory_ ....

I don't often "Like" videos, since they get added to a Playlist of liked videos. I only hit that -Monika- like button if I truly enjoy a video enough to save and watch later with other videos I thoroughly enjoy.
This video is amazing though, and is by far my favorite DDLC music video out there. Your original video was also my favorite DDLC song, so I'm really glad there's an amazing animation to go along with it now (not to say your original lyric video for it wasn't good, cuz it certainly was fantastic too!).
I think my favorite part is 3:03 when she basically knocks him into a trance, editing his mind to follow the new reality she creates. And he falls for it for a bit too, shown by his dilating pupils, until he snaps out of it to ask about the other girls. For that bit of time, Monika has him completely under her power. And, in this version, he never truly frees himself from it.

Honestly, I love this song, it sounds amazing, it's catchy as all heck, and the lyrics tell a fairly complex story while remaining simplistic, which is just unbealivably good. I listened to this song when it first came out, and it is even better then I remembered.
Truth be told, I always loved how devoted Monika is, and I would kill to have someone be that in love with me, no matter how obsessed or deranged they seemed.

As usual, another amazing song from Stupendium that nests inside of my head and makes me want to play a game I wouldn't even consider trying, excellent job.
Also, the animation is very good, I've seen few high profile minecraft animations before, but they all felt imperfect, the sort of uncanny valley like feeling, as if something was just a little bit off, this is the first one where it just felt right, massive kudos.
