Nice work! This project is really coming along nicely!
One thing I think you could add to the Bobbins Brothers boss battle is having them jump up when they get hit by one of Plok's limbs. This happens in the original Plok and can be used strategically by the player (i.e. hitting one of the brothers and running under them as they jump up), so implementing that in your remake could add that extra layer of strategy for the player.
But yeah, really good job so far! I'm really looking forward to seeing how this project continues from here!

Thanks! I will have a look at making the bosses jump when hit for the tidying up world 1 video which should come next. I've currently made some progress on the world map screen a few weeks ago but then had some busy weekends and then got covid lol. Hoping to back working on it soon once I'm better

Thanks! Haha it will, it's got a save object at the moment that I intend to read/write to a file, just need to do the UI for that as well
