is it so difficult to paint correct markings on the road? a shame for the city administration!

It's not really that. It's the poor quality of the paint they use. When they paint the road, it fades away in circa few months. And also if they paint lines, no one will respect them, so what's the point doing it?

@@bog2069 Firstly, it is safer if the pedestrian crossings are visible, secondly, if you don't even know the road markings and can't follow them, you don't belong in a vehicle but in the zoo. thirdly, when we go abroad, we also follow the rules, why not at home too?

@@bukisdiving firstly, drivers won't always stop at crosswalks, so repainting them every few weeks won't change much and if they are half visible they are still visible so drivers can see them. Also locals remember where crosswalks and other lines are so basically they "paint" the road in their heads. Secondly, despite what you think, we don't have much accidents and the accidents that happen are because of driver stupidity, speeding DUI and other things that road markings can't prevent. The only real problem is the driving test because they can (and will) fail you for crossing a line that doesn't exist

@@bog2069 Thank God! That there aren't many accidents, but I think it would make this beautiful city more beautiful if they were visible. I understand that the locals have all this in their heads, but for a tourist it would certainly be helpful and give a serious impression. And urban speeding should be punished severely, no matter what monkey does it.. have a nice evening bro 💪

@@bukisdiving it would and it should are nice, but the reality is very different. For some reason the paint they use is fading away surprisingly fast and constantly closing down roads for repaint it's not practical. And also not everyone is stupid, some drivers are just so used handling certain streets without markings in their own way that putting ones just wouldn't make sense to them. Also, theese type of streets is what separates average drivers from good ones. I currently live abroad and I have strong thinking that if you throw all of the drivers from the city I live in, half of them wouldn't be able to properly get around Bitola. While it's serving as a good practice for locals, it's pain in the ass for visitors
