For a long time I’ve believed there are WAY too many “pro” anglers receiving free or highly discounted product. As you said, that cost has to be recovered by the manufacturer. From where? From us. Glad to hear someone with a platform say it.
Dang Randy, The last few minutes of this video, with your head down staring at the screen, how dare you! I love it. Head down working hard. I agree with what you said. If someone isn't making any money, leave the job, and do something else. No one is making them stay there.
Why does a soft plastic bait cost $1???? It is ridiculous. I always said how cheap would a beer be without the brewing co's sponsoring everything under the sun?
To be honest, if we want to say that competitive bass fishing is a sport then the term “Professional Fisherman” shouldn’t even be used as long as they have to pay to play. Any other sport, baseball, basketball, football, golf etc, the pros ain’t paying an entry fee. The only way to ever change that is as we all know, getting the big non endemics. Nationwide bass fishing just isn’t followed by enough people for that to happen. So we’re probably just gonna be stuck with the same ole same ole🤷♂️. That being said to address one point in your video, there are some of the guys on tour that either have their own business or work elsewhere in order to stay out there.
Look at TMs i rememwber when a $600 dollar TM was top of the line a even a $300 was a good one ..now look at them!!! what in gods name can they put in a TM to make it cost 5k or even $3500 ???? Unreal !!!!
I like fishing but it's super boring to watch .. lots of them complaining now and I don't feal bad at all .. do better then they want more hand outs .. pay back last place whats the point if there was some hot chick's I would watch more

The industry will self-prune. The tournament trails will always be there in some form or another, but the pie will get smaller.
