    I don't hate Chet, but I don't really pity him either.
    I think that just like Piengfah he is too self centered and a little selfish.
    Last episode KN told him to stop spreading rumors, that she only tolerated his presence because of Anueng, but once again he was only worried about his desires, nevermind her wishes. In this case I really don't care for his feelings, he made his own bed.

      I agree, he knew there was a 50/50 chance he had a daughter out there, yet he didn’t look for her once in the past 20 years.
      If Khun Neung wasn’t in the picture Piegfa would’ve just taken her to the US, and he would’ve likely been fine going on with pretending she didn’t exist..
      And now that he knows he has a daughter what does he do?
      Instead of getting to know her, he keeps trying to shove both her and Khun Neung in the nuclear family of his dreams, despite both of them clearly telling him multiple times they DO NOT want that..
      Again, i understand that he’s in a tricky situation to navigate, but
      1) him having no rapport with aneug, at this point, is his fault
      2) it’s always about what he wants, always (and, honestly, i think about finding the easiest way out too).. keep what other people want into consideration for once

  • @jeanine3456
    @jeanine3456 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +66

    That's quite condescending. I think people dislike him because he’s a spoiled brat, not because he’s a guy. This isn’t about gender; good men don’t behave like this. It’s about not giving a rat’s arse about other people’s feelings and only caring for oneself. He never considered her feelings when he spread those rumors. He didn’t inquire about her feelings towards him or their situation; he actually went over what she had said in the first and second seasons. If he has never shown her respect and consideration, why should she owe him that? Because of a title?
    He’s not Anueng’s dad just because he donated his DNA; he self-appointed himself to that title without her consent, he has no rights in that matter. Respect is earned, and he never earned it from either of the Nuengs.

    • @sarads7877
      @sarads7877 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

      I agree, i don’t think she owns Chet an explanation, he should be able to take no for an answer, without needing to know the inns and outs of Neung’s relationship status. Even if it was legit motherly love between Neung and Aneung: Neung doesn’t love him, she doesn’t wanna be with him, that’s all he needs to know to realise he must take a step back and move on.
      But also, being clear to Chet is the only way Nueng and Aneung can have a relationship. He may not be doing a good job but he now is Aneung’s dad, they can’t hide from him forever.. she should actually explain to him what is happening for her own sake

    • @misscinabonroll2121
      @misscinabonroll2121 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      Preach sis!
      They both owe Chet nothing. As far as I'm concerned, the mother and grandma can shove it. You don't waste your time trying to please people who doesn't care about your feelings because that leads to serious depression and hurt. Anueng is an adult and if she wants to be with Nueng that's their business. If they really "care" then they will learn to be there for her but we all know they aren't capable of that. They only know how to be selfish, disturbing tyrants.

    • @p0rnany0ne
      @p0rnany0ne 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Of course he has no idea what he’s doing and he doesn’t listen.
      But that’s still his daughter.
      Your ideas about fatherhood are…troubling. This sperm donor narrative is not universal.
      the other side of it is that EVERYONE has been hiding things from him/lying to him from the beginning, meaning since anueng was born.
      If you think that’s right, that might be one of the reasons our society is so backwards right now.
      People are mad at dudes for being absent and not taking care of their children,
      and when a dude wants to be a part of his child's life, especially if he only learned about it when she was an adult, people have a problem with that too
      Again, if aneung really doesn’t want him in her life, she should be an adult and stand firm on that and cut off all contact. Otherwise, this is unfair to Chet in every way
      Like, the woman he was going to get married to is sleeping with his daughter. All the “he has no rights in the matter” doesn’t erase how f’cked up that is

      He knew Piengfah was pregnant. He just wasn't ready to be a dad. Which ok, I can understand. The grandma was still there so he could maybe still ask questions about his daughter's whereabouts if he wants to pick up the mantle. But his way and how he's doing it, meaning not giving a fuck about Anueng's feelings and not taking any of Nueng's advice is not the way to go about it and is not going to make her want to have a relationship with him. You don't just come out of nowhere and pretend like you are father of the year and start laying down law. He hasn't tried asking Anueng anything about what she thinks and wants and when she does talk about herself, he's all like, "No daughter of mine is gonna blah blah".
      Materialistic things isn't going to work. It's not like he's not being given advice. Let us not even get into the fact that he nor Piengfah has not even apologized to Anueng nor has shown her any bit of remorse but are out here playing the parent cards just because they both played a part in her being here and think she owes them anything. They are complete strangers to her. They don't try to understand anything and just input what they feel is best.
      Nueng has been giving this man advice since season 1 and he's ignored it. Bringing a child into the world doesn't make you a parent. I will agree with you hard on the fact that Anueng seriously needs to cut off the connection with all of them. Her grandmother is abusive and disturbing. Her mother doesn't listen and her dad doesn't listen and all they do is talk and think for her. What good does that do for Anueng in the long run? If you say you want to be in her life, prove it. Because so far all they're doing is causing more damage.
      I undestand people wanting their family around but not like this. You don't get to treat people like this just because you share the same DNA. This is how the toxicity repeats itself.

    This was a bit of a weird live. Now we all all have and are entitled to our own opinions, not sure who it was that you called out when they said Kung Nueng doesn’t owe Chet anything did seem like you were giving them a hard time. If that is their opinion so be it. The problem I have with Chet is that instead of trying to get to know his daughter, he just keeps trying to force his way and his thinking on her and that is not the way. Now, how many times must he be told by Kung Nueng that she doesn’t love him. Everyone that has a difference of opinion isn’t immature or a man hater.

    • @misscinabonroll2121
      @misscinabonroll2121 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

    • @kellaay28
      @kellaay28 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

      Thank you. I agree. I feel like Nikki took this too far. She did not need to personally attack people's characters for saying their opinion. Honestly, I think that there is some truth to both opinions in terms of the following: Neither Khun Neung nor Aneung owe Chet an explanation. Would it be considerate of them to be open and honest with Chet? Yes, of course. Do they owe him that no. I do not say this because he's a man, but because he is Aneung's father, not her dad. On paper, he is her father (though we can't even really say that as no test was actually done to prove it, but I digress). However, he is not nor has he ever been a dad to her. He hasn't earned the right to know this information unless Aneung and Khun Neung choose to tell him and they have the right to tell people when they are ready and on their own terms. The whole role reversal thing is moot, in my opinion, because I feel the same way about Pengfa. They are father and mother, but they are not dad and mom. They have not earned that status yet. Just because they are related by blood does not give them cart blanch on dictating her life or knowing what goes on in her life.

    Like, first of all, when are you ever gonna have a dinner like that again, like objectively 💀
    Second of all, maybe next time you can talk about something else too?? Or maybe, if you wanna have another bitcoin-centred evening, Aneung can go out with her friends instead that night? Like she doesn’t have to be there all the time.
    Plus, maybe in 2 years she’s be a finance expert, like 🙃
    I think at this point she either accepts that the relationship with Aneung is a leap in the dark, or they should just break up.
    Like Aneung has told her 1000 times she loves her and wants to be with her forever, and she has proven it too: you either believe it or you don’t at this point

    I'm a newbie and really enjopy your Blank reactions. I can't always catch you live but look forward to your posts. On another note, am I the only one who's realised that Nueng, Song, and Sam, are how you pronounce the numbers one, two, and three in Thai? The parents literally named their kids 1, 2, and 3! LOL! (I went down this rabbit hole when I heard Nueng counting by the car. The first indication was in Ep 1 when Aneung mistook Khun Neung saying her name when she was only counting. And the next was in Ep4... I mean, 1, 2, 3, is pretty easy. LOL! I wonder who else picked up on this.)

    I think in this situation its not so much about what Chet did wrong its more like what he didn't do. He is not a bad person, but he chooses to set himself up for being hurt. It is clear as day that Khun Neung does not and has never had feelings for him in that way, but he chose not to see or accept the truth. It is also clear that Aneung does not want a father figure. She tells Chet she doesn't want a paternity test because it would cause her problems. She also tells him that she is not ready and needs time to adjust to having both Pengfa and Chet in her life as it is weird for her to all of a sudden have these people in her life that weren't there before and who now suddenly love her and want to parent her. Chet never bothers to find out what any one else's feelings are. Not Khun Neungs and certainly not his daughters. He never asked Khun Neung if she had feelings for him, where she stands with him or if she even wants a step daughter. He never asked Aneung how she feels or if she wants to have a father figure in her life let alone a step mother. Again, I don't think he is a bad person and I do not like to see anyone get hurt but he is choosing to put his needs first and therefore disregarding everyone else's in the process. So while I feel for him to a degree, its a little harder to have empathy for him when its his own choices that are causing this. If we want to call a spade a spade, we can't condemn both grandmas and basically wish ill upon them (which I've seen a lot of in reactions and comments) for being selfish and homophobic and then say well its different for Chet. No he didn't physically hurt anyone like the grandmas but if we are going to be honest their selfishness and homophobia is not that different. They are all well intentioned but self serving. They all think they are doing the right thing for their own self justified reasons but none of them take into account the other peoples feelings. They all think they know what's best for Khun Neung and Aneung. If they all really loved them, they would respect their choices, their thoughts and their feelings even if they didn't agree with them. All this to say that I think there is empathy to be had for all those involved to a degree because none of them including Pengfa are vindictive. They all have good intentions they just have very skewed views and misguided ways of doing things. As a side note for those of you who disagree with my assessment; In reality, If you truly love someone (in this case these characters) you also have to love those they love even if you don't agree with their choices or even necessarily like them.

    Your videos were the initial reason I started watching Blank in the first place so thank you.
    That said I completely disagree with you about Chet. I think it was quite harsh that you equated people not wanting to make excuses for Chet to some lesbians being man-haters. Chet’s character is written to be unlikeable, so is Piangfa’s, it has nothing to do with sex.
    Also it’s not true to say that Chet has done nothing intentionally wrong, especially considering what he’s going to do next, for those of us who have read the book. Even the writer mentioned that Chet was written to be a homophobe who doesn’t really care about KN.
    I understand you sympathizing with him but it was unfair of you to get mad at those who rightfully didn’t. Chet is an adult, not a victim. All of our characters are flawed.
    Also if someone tells you they don’t want to date you, I shouldn’t have to tell them I’m in a relationship for them to back off. Even AN doesn’t like her own father, it’s supposed to be that way bc of how Chet is written. Regardless I like your reactions, I just completely disagree with you this time.

    They are giving away at the dolls voice message for sure after Chet knows about them Khun Nueng will agree to Anueng's mom for her to live abroad at U.S and they will be away from each other for sure. To avoid stress and problems with the family, also it will actually help prove if age gap can't affect the relationship and Nueng's feeling towards Khun Nueng in time.

    I honestly don’t hate Chet. My only issue with him, besides the homophobia, is that he keeps pursuing KN when she’s made it clear that she does not want to be with him romantically. I get that she is perfect to him because she has all the qualities he wants, and her closeness with his daughter seems like it would transition well into a happy family unit. But the fact of the matter is that she’s never loved him and was only engaged to him because of her grandmother. He also is unwilling to accept that even though he wants to be a father figure to Aneung, it’s obvious that she doesn’t really want that at this point in her life, and that’s something that should also be respected. I feel very similarly about the mother. She’s also in love with KN and is trying to force a closer relationship to Aneung through KN which is messed up. I honestly blame Piengfa for not giving Chet the opportunity to get to know his daughter while she still may have had the desire to know him.

      I think it’s kind of unfair to blame Piangfa. She herself wasn’t given the opportunity to raise her own daughter because she was shipped off. I doubt connecting Chet and AN was her main priority. I don’t blame either of them for their actions at 16, they were just dumb kids who were scared, even Chet admitted he could’ve done more. I blame their actions as adult tho because they have continued to fail their daughter and put their own desires first. They are both selfish and controlling when it comes to AN. No wonder she doesn’t care for either of them.

      @@KodakB-fg1uf I get what you’re saying, but my real gripe with her as that she used not being able to physically be with her daughter as an excuse to not get to know her. She could have still kept in contact with Aneung even from a distance. She could have still fostered a relationship with her and assured her that she was wanted. The fact that Aneung could confidently tell KN early on that she was unwanted by her mother means that she had to process all the feeling that come with that on her own and come to a point of acceptance without her mother (or grandmother). She accepted herself as someone that does not have a mother or father which is why she’s so adverse to them trying to play those roles now. The grandmother definitely made it worse and should have made sure they were in contact and could still have a relationship, but Fa is still Aneung’s mother and it seemed like she was more so running from her broken heart and happy to stay away at the expense of her daughter.

      @@savetheplanet2563 Oh I definitely agree with all of that. I only meant that I think it’s unfair to blame her for not “letting Chet be apart of his daughter’s life.” She wasn’t allowed to be apart of her daughter’s life herself, I doubt she had the ability to introduce them before being sent away.
      I do believe tho that the reason AN is adverse to their parenting, isn’t just because they left her, but because they’re trying to be selfish and control her without caring about what she wants. Only caring about their own desires.

    I do not think Chet is wrong I compared the situation to driving a car. Khun Neung being the driver of the vehicle and Chet being the person in her Blind Spot. To avoid accidents Drivers are always told to Check their Blind Spots. Chet is unaware of the extent of Love Khun Neung and Neung have developed over time and although its been in his sight since he showed up back in season 1 he’s concerned about his wants. Him finding out he has a daughter was like unlocking a side mission on his main quest because since the beginning he had intentions on getting Khun Neung Back. And that is not wrong because everyone in this situation has their own want. Khun Neung wants everyone accept her and Neung and Neung just wants people to know and I think with people knowing they can see her as an Adult who can make her own firm decisions. I think the fact that Khun Neung choose her and fell in love with her will speak volumes as she deemed No one worthy ever. If I was Chet I would think about to episode 3 I think when Khun Neung went out of her way to go to that dance
