We are going to show you how to affordably build a system that's going to give the kind of void you need for a French Drain. We partnered up with another pipe company that's making our filter media for our French drains. This French drain pipe is larger than the current three inch pipe that we're using now. But it's not a four inch pipe - it is a three inch pipe. It's opened up more than what we've been using and what we are used to we're going to show you how to use this filter media that's very affordable and very easy it's going to be very cost effective it's going to cost a lot less than Stone and we're going to show you how to top it off and lock it in place so that you have better results.

We are aggressively progressive when it comes to yard drainage. People like yourself tell me their situation throughout the USA and beyond. We want to offer everyone a solution. I appreciate our TH-cam community. Subscribers help make us better.
This request would be a great winter project for me.

Why is the yard drain nessary if u already have the French drain .been watching a lot of your videos . To see if I’m right I would need to use the sloth pipes on the bottom and if I wanted to Also have year drains. Would need to use solid pipes since it will have sediment this is the same pipe I could link up with the gutter water because of the roof rocks . One other question I have is do I need a separate pop up for each pipe . I’m trying to figure out how much drainage I really need if I can just do the French drain sound my new 60 ft patio my yard never puddle before

May i ask a crazy question? To prevent long term pipe deformation, can one fill the drain pipe with 3/4" so as to preserve the pipe integrity presumably forever? I have a long history of digging up collapsed drain pipes from previous projects. Id use the triple wall stuff but i need the pipe flexibility.

Triple wall is weak that's the worst. Extra Heavy Duty corrugated is recommended.

It would probably come at significant expense to the flow rate. Single-wall corrugated can get pretty fast flows, but with lots of turbulence from the grooves. Rock would just disrupt all of that and retain a lot of water, especially if you're packing it tight enough to prevent pipe collapse.
Pipe collapse by itself is not actually a huge problem, assuming you have a closed system with minimal debris. Water just needs to be able to flow through it, which doesn't require much space. Realistically, the collapsed pipes you've had to dig up were likely symptoms of other problems like insufficient aggregate, root invasion, above-surface loads beyond the rated capacity of the pipe, lack of fabric to filter out sediment, etc.
That's not to say pipe collapse is a good thing, just not the end of the world. It would take a torrential downpour to fill a 4-inch pipe to capacity, and if that's actually happening in practice, the system could probably use more overall drainage anyway just to be on the safe side.

Are there any weight capacity concerns when using the filter media tubing? I use a compact tractor & want to ensure I can drive over the french drain without damaging the system.

@@FRENCHDRAINMAN good video thank you. We don’t have a problem with standing water but I want to add a drainage system for severe thunderstorm run off. Our house and shop flank a rural gravel road that is slightly higher elevation than our property. Im picturing a T shaped drainage system that parallels the road and shoots between the house and shop, capturing most the runoff that comes down the road and channeling it away. Do you have a video that illustrates a system designed to quickly catch and move a high volume of surface flowing water? The road and my parking area are all gravel so I can put in anything really along the road… I don’t want much of a ditch, I’d like to keep it relatively flat because I have to drive over it…
