Unfortunately, he never got further than freestyles on the radio. Add him to the list of wouldve-beens along with papoose, jae millz, ali vegas, etc. BTW i got love for all of these dudes but they just didnt blow like they shouldve.
I’m saying... there was an embarrassment of riches in the early 2000’s when it came to straight lyricism, but to cross over you have to structure a song and balance an album. And I think that’s where a fair amount of those guys really struggled. And for a label, it’s hard to package and market, at least for ‘general audiences’.
@@quiettimegaming3642 yeah i noticed that as well. Sure, they could spit their azzes off on a beat but putting songs together were a bit of a challenge.
It’s taken dudes 15 years to catch up to Grafh’s bars. Don’t like it? Then go back to that drugged up mumble rap that lowers your IQ with each play through.
Grafh is dope but there’s a place for all types of music. The Roots might be my favorite group but that doesn’t mean Barter 6 can’t be a great album in its own right, for instance.
Grafh is highly underrated, up there with Papoose & Cory Gunz.
Nobody will ever be as underrated as Crooked tho. Criminally so.
How this freestyle session ain’t got a million views + is what I’m still thinking 🤔.... Dude talented and did it easy💯🤞🏾
Grafh was/is and always will be a monster lyricist
