Thank You for singing this song. It's the first time I've ever heard it and it has blessed me so much!!! I will be listening to this song everyday ❤ God Bless You All and Keep on Singing for the Lord. You All are making a difference in the lives of others❣️🙏
Love this Gold City classic. They have had many talented singers over the years. After Brian Free and Ivan Parker left, their singers didn't usually win any awards but they were always some of the best. It seems as if Daniel gets overlooked every year but he is one of the best baritone/lead singers in the industry and other vocalists that they had were great as well: Mike Lefevre, Jonathan Wilburn, Tex McCune, Steve Ladd, Mark Trammel, and Jay Parrack. Tim is definitely one of the best bass vocalist of Southern Gospel music.
I cannot tell you how many times this song has touched my heart and my daughter's heart ..it began many years ago as the mantle fell upon us to carry on God's missionary work alone, yet not alone! That was the time UNDER CONTROL came out, my daughter and I would weep so hard as we absorbed every word of hope, til I personally fell like leaving the audience as not to disturb others--a bond was set there from our Lord, and a life time of loving family like friends developed with Tim Riley-Gold City-and their family members--we still cherish the moments we get to see them and have such a mutual love and respect of God, the song, His music, His word and we all continue to pass the gifts on to a hurting world that still needs to hear those dynamic words: GOD HAS STILL GOT IT---UNDER CONTROL!!! Even now as Tim and his dear family suffer the loss of their beloved Barbara--somehow in our hearts I know she is whispering to them all from heaven: Hey remember??? IT'S UNDER CONTROL!!THIS IS A GOOD PLACE WHERE EVERYTHING IS TRULY UNDER GOD'S CONTROL! our love, prayers, and appreciation will ever be with this entire family and Brian Free and Assurance and family and others who have touched our hearts and lives that we met in this one group that could not be stopped from soaring to the top for over 6 yrs as I recall-perhaps more-and they all still are-soaring way past Jupiter and Mars--into the heavens where SAINTS REJOICE AT THEIR BEST!!! From what recording was this taken? Did they do a Gold City Reunion DVD?
+Rob Saxon Recorded in NQC 2015 , no DVD released.
+Southern Pezzatti Gotcha. Thanks for the reply. There may never be a better bass singer!
Tim Riley is a Legend Live ! The Best Bass on the road.
É minha impressão ou o Chris West ficam envergonhado perto do Tim Riley? (translate to english).
Tim bless his heart. He sounds alittle weak in this video :(
He aged well vocally though but it definitely is noticeable, although he’s lost control his power and depth has Increased which is common with age
I think a year before this he suffered a minor stroke. It's understandable he may have been weak.
