Remembering fondly Gifu's performance in a previous New Years Day Rose Bowl Parade here in America! They did a great job! Their final performance at JFK High School before going home to Japan, was Outstanding !!!!!! was memorable! They got the audience involved with dancing and singing ..... Everybody Loved them !!!!! Their smiles in this parade could light up a room!
👍👍👏👏👏👏👏!!!!!!!! Wow!!! VERY Impressive Parade Performance! If you close your eyes, you can almost picture another world famous band playing. (I think most know who this world famous band is) From the music played, to the dance and even the drum cadence is similar. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery as the saying goes and this band is making a statement. I dare say, they could march in the Rose Parade and do very, very well. The ONLY negative is the number of woodwind instruments in the band. The rich and full extent of the music is somewhat diminished by the Brass instruments. Other than that very minute detail, this is one very entertaining and fun to watch Band. Congratulations Gifu! Great Performance!
I don't know, but.......today Gifu did not sound as 'tight' as they normally do. I know from my experiences of performing in a Youth Marching Band here in the UK for nearly 20 years in the 1970's and 1980's, we all will suffer 'off days'. My marching days are well and truly over due to my health. Anyway I look forward to your next performance.
