The most perfect car for the missus you can buy. We had one of the first ones from 2006 and have changed it for a new one. Faultless in my experience, cheap to buy and run, spacious enough for all family errands, yards of room in the back, easy to use, good visibility, high up drivers seat for ladies with little fat legs, - and big mirrors. And now available in girly light blue.
TheophilusPWildbeest It's also available on finance for £150 a month - pretty amazing, considering how much space and reliability you get for that money.
Like the Note a lot. Its a model that doesn't date. My son owns a blue 2006 SE Automatic. Last year had 40,000 on clock. Great runner. So I bought a Nissan Note se auto 2011 silver, very pleased , 1.6 with some flash alloys. Surprising power and quiet can't feel the gear changes . Recommend if you are looking for a small MPV.
I had one for a week as a rental. It was the 1.2 version and I did 750 miles in it, mainly on the Autobahn.I didn't drive economycally, I cruised at around 140kph/85mph (getting up to speed takes time, though), yet it returned a staggering fuel consuption 6.3l/100km/45mpg.
I've recommended the Nissan Note to some friends who actually bought the car and are very pleased. For what they wanted (cheap, not a big car, but big enough for future kids), this is one of very few options out there. There's the Honda Jazz, but this is bigger and cheaper. About the downsides you point out, I think it's fairly obvious this isn't as much fun to drive as a more compact car and it isn't as well built as a more expensive car. If it was smaller and more expensive, I would agree to those you mentioned. ;) Still, it would be nice to see a more powerfull petrol engine, like the 1.2 tce (115+ hp) from Renault. "Great little" car, this Nissan.
@@A_Acars Hi. It's fun to see my comment is relevant 5 years into the future. =D As I recall, you could get somewhere between 6 or 7 L/100km, which is ok in this segment. 🙂 Cheers!
I love my note I really enjoy driving this super car. great feeling do have this lovely 14 plate Nissan Note packed with kit on this acenta premium model.
We own 2 nissan note diesels and have now opted to sell one and purchase a more upmarket note with cameras etc . we cannot fault them for space and driving as I am 6ft 7
Wow. It's amazing to see how a few bits of trim can make a car look more upmarket. We have that same car in America, but our one is designed to be cheap and minimalistic. So it doesn't have that gloss trim, gauges, wheels, and grille. I like this one a lot.
I have just bought a an ex-demo '63 plate Note Acenta Premium with the safety pack, as featured in this video. The all round camera is a really useful feature, especially when there are any of the low slung concrete bollards around, that seem to infest pub car parks in the UK.
I'm still disappointed that she didn't get to do the GT-R review. You know she can handle fast cars. I think she should be allowed to give us a review of a Porsche Boxster race car and demo some fast driving on a track.
Just bought one....have also the old model and had one before. Adore this car. The economy, the space, the practicality, he lightness, what else do u need? Superunderestimated car. Asian cars have proven to be of high quality and the least money spent on maintenance. You choose. But s max?? I think she means cmax
@@A_Acars it is perfect. This car is also very economic driving it in the city . It jas a economy button. As soon as you press that you feel the car switching down a bit but still OK. Perfect for the city drives. It consumes less fuel. I drove to Greece with this car...twice..2500km one way and we sleep in the car on our way
I drove the 1.2 NA version of this and it was a decent enough car, comfortable to drive and fairly well-equipped considering its price, but that poor car deserved a much better engine. It felt like it would roll back down a hill if you didn't thrash it.
All the negatives are evident going in. Reliability piques my curiosity. (I own a 2015 Nissan Versa Note [USA] and I can attest they are reliable.) It's really hard to beat.
I am 6 foot one and sitting in the of a Nissan note I have loads of legroom wait to see all the way back but my head was touching the roof was saying that my head just touch the wheels in the back of the C4 grand caso so very good car for the Size
I just ordered a note today 2015 plate 1.2 petrol my very first car I have ever brought brand new always in the past I purchased older cars with few owners but I wanted a new one first choice was the juke but was abit expensive but I got a really good deal I think on note mid range model accenta premium and to be honest little worried as some reviews have said its loud engine and not good to drive but I hope it's good
Thanx for this review I had a 2006 version and really liked it. Unfortunately I had an accident and got a 2007 tiida which was good. Currently looking at this model for an upgrade I'm impressed with new features but concerns me with what you say about having to thrash it to keep it steady.
2:32 either can't find the indicator or like a lot of idiots on the road, thinks that every other driver on the road has a crystal ball as standard in their vehicles...
I am looking to buy a cheap reliable car to do a road trip, like to Plymouth, and then Portsmouth, and was hoping to used car to sleep in ,so is this car not the car,as am coming from Edinburgh,so around trip???
whitevanman999 if you mean the 1.2 I believe shes right. although I have no idea why she claims it drives well..... its a pig, but a cheap pig with lots of room inside.
hi, i have nissan note verso 2016, sv, bought in america, i live in ukraine, tell me how to change the speed from mile to kilometers on the dashboard, and the air temperature from faringates to celsius. thanks
I think nissan should update this car..I am from the Caribbean and this car does not even come new..😭😭.push to start, entry key . I love this car and I disappointed that it does not come new in my country
Haha I like how she demonstrated the secret storage with valuables, by throwing an empty itti-bitti little purse in. Look you can hide your pouch here with nothing in it, LOL. Okay I'm high.
I have one of these😢 but I blew up the engine 2 weeks after getting it. Now its sitting in a shop and I'm struggling to buy a new engine 😢😢. Man I saved hard to buy this car. Anyone willing to help me fix my baby???
Kacicka999 you are comparing $70k german cars to $30k american cars, i would hope that a car costing more then twice as much to an american would have better quality. Show me a european car that can out perform those american cars that cost $30k or less? I see it like this, it flattering for a inexpensive American muscle car to be in the same games as a costly German car and the american will equal or out perform the costly german car! We'll, in most cases!
***** You want to say that charger or challenger cost under 30K ? well here in europe its much more. And when it comes to used cars, its almost same price for challenger or E90 M3/ E60 M5/RS4/6
Kacicka999 That's to bad the gov taxes the crap out of you folks in Europe....REVOLT for fair priced autos! Seriously.....that's BS....REVOLT! A 30K mustang costing 70K in Europe is crazy! Yea, I wouldn't buy one either for that price but, starting next year, the mustang will be sold in Ford's European dealerships which, should price them at a normal price. So, you will be able to drive a 30K mustang and/or a 70K M3, The mustang will not be as refined as the BMW but, who cares, I'll buy the Mustang which performs the same or better then the BMW and save 35K which I could use to modify the Mustang and a down payment on a beach house...lol...70K M3 is a waste of money! I will admit: i like the M3 or C63 but, way to much money and I can't justify the extra cost vs a american muscle car....but, that's just my opinion and I'm sure there are many who will disagree.
Thank you car buyer. your like the only reviewer that actually talks about the important stuff like rear legroom, storage, and trunk space. Thank You!

Good review, with the rear seats moved forward they cant lock at the top, surely this is a safety risk

How was the car ?
Nissan Note Euro NCAP 4 star
if you hit something with more than 50 km/h 5 stars wont help you much
I don't like Ero Ncap but security is most important point
3:02 saying that and parking like that! :P
Probably it would have been more straight if the parking slots to the sides was taken.
dang it ..winter is back :(

Can't see in boot, to dark. does steering wheel have reach & rake ?.

Weirdly I prefer the exterior appearance of the older model.
forgot to say how much hps does the 1,5 diesel has!
