It was obvious when everyone is running their mouth off gloating because they are pirating fights, that it would inevitably be clamped down upon.

The problem with PPV is that boxer’s have come to expect $ which are neither realistic, nor sustainable. A reset is most definitely needed. The alternative consequence is that the bubble simply bursts.
£25 for PPV or £25 for groceries?
If you can’t afford it then you can’t watch it is how it’ll be.
One of those is essential to life, your wellbeing and general happiness.

Piracy isn’t a threat to the networks. Someone pirating doesn’t equate to a lost sale. Most of the watchers wouldn’t ever pay for fights anyway, so it’s giving more eyes to advertisers.
Any good ad contracts manager will know this and use these numbers to negotiate more revenue from advertisers.
The fighters may be impacted but I wouldnt judge anyone for pirating a Saudi card.
that is true. some don't have the money or desire to pay. Also, some streaming is because you can't even buy the PPV because it is not available to buy in your country

How did you come to figure that? I’m am genuinely asking. If you (or fans) don’t see a fighter have a trait, and don’t know them personal to see them in gym, why do fans think fighters have certain qualities they have not shown?
I paid for the Usyk-Fury and the 5 vs 5. But it was expensive for me. I'm not doing well financially.
Even if they stop the illegal streaming, the PPV buys will increase but not all streamers will pay for PPV because some just don't have the money
I will pay for a PPV if a fight is PPV-worthy. Tank fighting more cannon fodder, and Benavidez fighting a 37-year-old is not PPV-worthy.

The whole broadcast model feels wrong. With Sky, at least you can buy a day pass if you really like a specific card. TNT don't offer one. And you can't dip-in with DAZN as they pull all sorts of dirty deeds to make it difficult to get out of the 'rolling contract' again (shameful and pathetic). So currently I pay for PPV and occasional Sky nights. It's too annoying signing up to one of the three. The £50 a month idea sounds good but you still need to be able to pay-by-view, many of us have a social life at the weekend.

@@graememckelvie9393 Not as much as Frank. I don't like who he has fought but he has boxed some solid guys and his wins have aged well. The dude has boxed since a kid, won Golden gloves and was in the Mayweather gym. He has seen all kind of fighters.
I don't like Tank but look objectively when he fought Barrios. His defense was very good - blocking, distance control, slipping rolling with punches. He was making Barrios miss and he was landing from the outside. The dude is as elite as anyone in terms of skills. And has amazing reflexes and power.
Grvosdick doesn't even seem ready. In surprised your most excited for that one. Even admitted David beat him up. This fight is probably the most predictable lmao. All love tho

He does not have good opposition at 135. Only Shakur has any chance and William Zepada would be a good fight while it lasts. Tank should be challenging himself at 140. We saw he can outbox a guy like Barrios who is solid and beat Ugas. Teo, Haney, Matias, Prograis, Taylor.
He can even beat some guys at 147 - not Ennis but some solid guys. No point in fighting guys at 135 where he is a better boxer than them and is more powerful. He is better in every department than anyone else
