Our generation has the best music ever. There was a lot of good music played around Newport. Sonny Burgess and all the rest. Everybody played up and down Hiway 67, The Rock and Roll Hiway. Hang in there bud!!
Funny story man, subscribed! I lived in Nederland late 80s and my landlord was Duane Scott, rented his house for a year or two. I was about 25 at the time. From your story I assume you know exactly who I'm talking about. Great dude. Unfortunately my roommate's boyfriend didn't treat the house with the same reverence that I had for it, so he probably doesn't remember me that fondly, but not my fault. You know how things get up there in the mountains a little crazy and beyond your control sometimes. Still bugs me 30 years later though. But I still have 3 or 4 Duane hilarious quotes that stick with me to this day, probably not suitable for youtube though. Keep on keeping on!

You must’ve been trying to ski at Eldora in Nederland. I’m from Mississippi originally. And when I went there, I didn’t know Jack shit about skiing! I took a few shots of tequila and smoke a big joint on the ski lift on the way up. And there was plenty of fresh POWDER too. I thought I was bullet proof. The only way I could stop was to fall. I’d fall before I hit the trees (sometimes). 🤠 People were laughing at me wearing a camo hunting jump suit. I didn’t give a fuck! I lived around Nederland when Stephen did. There was some fine music played at the Pioneer Inn in the early 70s. I lived near Memphis before that. We’ve met before Bobby. Word to Atticus Finch! 🤠
The recording studio you went to in Colorado for the Stills sessions must have been the old Caribou Ranch up in the mountains near Nederland. Lots of great music was made there. Did you ever record there again?
Even stills admits he can treat crosby and Nash as his backup singers. He is good and he knows it so that can feed an ego. But stills can also be a nice guy.
