He did the first sausage without a casing. The famous currysauce was a thing Heuwer than added later on. Considering a sausage isn’t only a german thing however, we can’t be 100% sure. It’s very likely it was invented in Germany at that time though. Anyway, a good sausage (doesn’t matter the meat or if vegan) and a good currysauce is amazing nonetheless. A nice hot and quick meal for a bit of hunger. Nowadays it got expensive with inflation though, that’s why I personally prefer other meals and I am usually cooking myself most of the time anyway.

Unfortunately I don’t like fish much. Most fish products taste horrible for me. I can’t even eat most sushi, because of that here. If I ever visit Japan or other countries with actually fresh fish fit for sushi I will try it again.

Die Currysauce variiert auch regional in Deutschland. Es gibt Ketchup (Curry-Ketchup) mit etwas Currypulver obendrauf oder es wird eine Currywurstsauce dazu gegessen.

British chips is disgusting. It's usually been lying around for half an hour and was soggy and grey to begin with. Pommes are always cooked fresh and cooked twice to make them crispy. I lived in Britain for 30 years and never found chip shop chips I liked, even though my local chippy won an award.

So they didn't even know that stuff until they finally moved back to Germany... They told me that the Soviets did the exact same thing as the Nazis in WWII and after that until Stalin died. Germany is fifth in the world with Michelin stars and U.K. is eighth. In Europe, Germany is third and U.K. is fifth. They do well, especially considering that the U.K. is 11th in Europe in size.
@@tweakypoppy First of all : it counts restaurant located in these country ,so if a french chef opens a restaurant in germany and earns a michelin star , it counts for Germany , so this doesn't make much sense...
Second point : i was not really talking about gastronomic restaurants , of course there are talented people from all countries in the world , i was more talking about everyday food and the cultural relationship with food.
In Germany or England , people eat just to live while in France or Italy , it takes a much bigger place in people's lives , they can spend 3/4 hours at table on a Sunday

British chips is disgusting. It's usually been lying around for half an hour and was soggy and grey to begin with. Pommes are always cooked fresh and cooked twice to make them crispy. I lived in Britain for 30 years and never found chip shop chips I liked, even though my local chippy won an award.

@@IronIck45 It's true, we put salt and vinegar on our chips as standard. It has to be malt vinegar though, not white vinegar (which would be far too harsh and acidic).
Liam I am sorry to tell you this: I lived in London age 13-16 and had all the british classic food while living with my British exchange family and managed to loose 20kg (started with 60kg) because YOU BRITISH CAN'T COOK ANYTHING- IT'S DISGUSTING in my family, in friends family and in many different restaurants I tried to eat British "food" (SORRY NOT SORRY, I started cooking myself hiding it from my exchange parents) I can't imagine how Gordon Ramsay is British. Btw Fish n Chips is like a 4/10 (10 is best) and with vinegar it's a good -10/10 and I love fish as a north coast German. But you guys have some neat sweets.
I lived with foster parents while I was in England and never saw them cook anything. Fish n Chips didn't taste great either. Tried it once and never again.
@@holz_name they cooked "often" wich was 2-3 times in 7 days... While I was a kid/teen my parents or myself cooked a fresh meal every day, no convenience products! They're banned in my parents house... They grew up in the former soviet Union since the Soviets captured my grand grandpa and -ma and deported them into "nowhere" aka Siberia. So they didn't even know that stuff until they finally moved back to Germany... They told me that the Soviets did the exact same thing as the Nazis in WWII and after that until Stalin died. Stalin even killed 4 times as much people than Hitler, don't get me wrong Hitler was a disgrace for humans and humanity, but don't forget the russians are worse they started with Lenin and keep the same line in Russia including Putin aka Modern Ruzzki Hitler
