How to solve "Error: Apache shutdown unexpectedly"

I followed your steps, and it didn't work. I tried all kinds of numbers in this config files and none of them worked. Ended up reinstalling XAMPP. It is so frustrating ever since these Windows upgrades XAMPP hasn't been the same. First of all I am constantly getting MySQL error messages. I am constantly, almost every day having to go into my mysql folder, back everything up, replace from my backup folder, then rebuild my users. And I have to do this every day. I tried upgrading XAMPP and that didn't work. So I have to manually, almost every day rebuild my mysql folder. This port issue just started happening yesterday.
