Nice work! Curious what makes you select one ditch from another. Is it purely historical, scanning the area first or just targeting specific types (short and deep, long and deep). I feel like I can catch if I can find them but it can be tough when they are so glued to the bottom.
Good question, I’m thinking of doing a video on this. But to answer your question; short and deep is the answer especially this late in the winter. Ditches near the main channel seem to have better/more active fish. They can definitely be tough on the bottom If I locate them and they won’t eat a swimbait crawling or a spoon, I’ll drop a dropshot or shakey head and dead stick it. Sometimes you have to let it sit for a longggg time but keep your line tight for a subtle eat
