1. Stop abandoning the run game on offense 2. Send more blitzes/attack more on defense When Willis is our QB everyone knew we were going to run and we still were able to win up front and effectively run the ball, but we don't run the ball enough with Love as our QB. It's all compounding, getting a few yards on first and second down makes third down manageable and leads to higher percentage plays instead of relying on throwing the deep shot with is what has caused most of Love's interceptions. Even though we have had some injuries on defense and backups playing, we still need to attack on defense. When we get pressure on the other teams QB good things happen (the strip sack on Sam Darnold during the Vikings game). Plus, sending blitzes early and showing blitz before bailing into coverage later keeps the opposing QB guessing and helps to force them to make bad reads or feel phantom pressure. Go Pack Go!
Two things one is offense Jordan Love needs to quit making interceptions to be the hero. Run the ball if they have to. And number two is the defense. Since Preston is gone this defense will skyrocket. Van Ness to step up, Rashan Gary needs to pick up the pace, who else I can go on the list of names of the front seven. Oh one more thing no more penalties. Go Pack Go!!!!
I think the penalties and dropped passes hurt more than the interceptions. Jordan Love is capable of being a big play QB. To take that away , is going to severely limit him . GoPackGo
They really need to give the opportunitys wicks gets to watson or just design some plays for him because right now he is just a decoy.... also there have been so many plays where watson was wide open for like 15 yards and love would force it to a player that locked maybe he just don't like watson
2 things to counter your points 1. Jordan Love has played 2/3 of his career as a high interception qb. Its more than likely this is the normal Love that we are going to get. Lets not forget, he had this problem in college so this is nothing new. 2. Jordon love is not going be magically healthy after just 1 week off on a bye. Groin injuries can be nagging and most likely will be an issue for a good while longer. I also still think his knee will be an issue for a bit longer too. You also cant use these as excuses. Good players play well even through injury. The biggest concern ive had since day 1 about love are his passes under 10 yards. Especially the soft touch passes. Hes always placed the ball in awkward positions for the wideouts/rb's to catch in short touch pass situations. He simply is not an accurate quarterback yet has flashes in the pan on deep balls, similar to Anthony Richardson. Just hope that us packers stay realistic. Jordon love might not be the next hall of famer in GB. Its very well possible he wont make a future pro bowl. I think it's a crap shoot at this point.
Thank goodness some Packer backers are not barking about HoF all-pro Top Three NFL QB Jordan Love. He might have the worst footwork of all starting QBs. The INTs will never stop with such bad fundamentals.
1: clean up the mental part on offense (penaltys pre snap, drops, dumb decisions leading to INT's ) 2: improvement from the D-Line (more pressure on the QB, winning your one on one)
It is true, to an extent. Love does throw some shxtty balls. Yea the reciever "should" catch them. But if he could clean that up and make it easier for them. Would be nice.
I feel most (60%) of those drops are due to Love taking the field with out full practices and not being fully healthy. The body compensates in ways that effect his throw, foot work, transfering weight, follow through, throwing on the run, and scrambling just to name a few of the things that can dramatically change his ball control and placement. He's only played in about 25 games and is not acclimated to performing at a high level when his body is less than 80%. The parameters that decide what a dropped ball is should be revisited.
1. Clean up stupid penalties, pre-snap, personal fouls, etc. 2. Improve pass rush. Goff and Darnold had too much time to throw. Bonus: 3. Send entire team to U of W med school for evaluation of hamstring, groin, quad issues! Look at how much Watson and Stokes have been able to play this year... and how much we miss Jaihre when not out there.
Things to fix: 1) Needless penalties 2) Jordan Love - not just the INTs but also him trying to force crazy passes all the time. The guy just needs to relax and get the offence moving with some simple plays and throws.
Let's just say health goes without saying. After that, I would say pressure from the edge followed by stability at linebacker. Cooper and Hopper have to get more reps. Figure out the best three linebackers and let the cook. Cooper needs to be the Mike.
There is so much but 1 Pass Rush will fix a lot of problems on the defense. IDK if it is a new system but all of them are underperforming at the same time. If opposing QBs don't have all day, it will make the holes in the secondary look smaller. 2 WR drops would at least make Love's sophomore campaign look better. I expected love to struggle a bit year 2, but the drops make it look awful. Wicks don't need protection anymore cause he can't catch anything.
You could probably list penalties and drops under a single category- mistakes or unclean play. Could honestly add JLoves ints into thag category as well so really they need to fix 1 thing and that's mistakes. 9 and a half times out of 10, the team that plays the cleaner ballgame i.e. no turnovers, very few penalties and very few to no drops, wins the game. We outplayed the lions in the stat category in almost every single metric, except for mistakes
The Packers need to fix their penalties issue, specifically the pre-snap penalties like false starts (@ Home - No Excuse for that) and illegal motion. It'd also be great if they could significantly reduce their holding penalties and their SPECIAL TEAMS penalties. The Packers also need to fix their turnover issues. Giving the other teams free points or short fields is not winning football. (I did pause it and typed this out before listening further as I was instructed).
After listening, I agree that drops are an issue that they need to fix, BUT I think that turning the football over is a more critical issue. I also believe that penalties and turnovers are easier to fix in season than dropped passes. However, if they fix all 3 I would of course be super giddy. I do believe that the Packers also need to fix their over-believing of a couple of 1st round defensive picks. Carrington Valentine and Eric Wilson are better than Eric Stokes and Quay Walker. I'd like Eric Wilson and Edge Cooper to be the top 2 LBs with Quay Walker being LB # 3. I also wonder if some of the CBs on the practice squad deserve a roster spot over Eric Stokes and Corey Ballentine, but I might just be too illogical on the subject.
Issue 1: not getting Jayden Reed the Ball..its almost like they have moved away from him after the bad play calling when they try and run the SAME TRICK PLAY with him every game and it doesn't work anymore.. get the man down field, not behind the line 10 yard on a reverse... 2. RUN THE BALL. If you are running down the field with no problem, but then can't get into the end zone because you wanna throw the ball, which hasn't worked most of the game, RUN THE BALL
Bas, agree that JLo is going through a bit of a sophomore slump, like Hurts did last year? Coaches have studied JLo tendencies in every snap and have exploited those nuances. And tell me why we can’t use Love/Kraft like Mahomes/Kelce or Brady/Gronk? Defense division worst PA 194. Close to bottom seed playoff if these trends continue.
More sacks and pressures would be good. Also the secondary has been good but we need to replace the production of Preston Smith, CB1, after he was traded.
The most important things the Packers need to fix are dropped passes and penalties. The Packers would be in much better position to put away games early if they just stop beating themselves and making mental mistakes. Edit: Turns out Bas, as do most fans also agree with the issues hurting the Packers.
💯 agree!!! They gotta fix these dumb penalties and yes, if that ball hits you're hands you should be catching it! That's what you're paid for damnit. I know easier said than done but C on man!!
The Green Bay Packers needed their bye week after a tough loss at home to the Detroit Lions. They must achieve these 2 things: Get healthy and figure out how to clean up the self-inflicted mistakes on offense. Regarding part 1, the Green Bay Packers could get several key players back from their injuries in week 11, and the hope is that Jordan Love will return close to 100% after battling a groin issue. The 2nd part isn’t as easy to fix. With 30 pre-snap penalties and 20 drops already this season, the Green Bay Packers need more than just a self-scout to overcome their biggest issues. They need better discipline. This team turned things around in the 2nd half of last season and has a roster capable of challenging the Detroit Lions in the NFC North, but they still have a lot to improve on. Go Pack Go 💚💚💛💛
My thoughts beyond the obvious drops and penalties is that the run block is still soft. Am I the only one who fears every running back we face regardless of the team? I mean we even got ran on by Aaron Jones... A running back who we should have known what to expect. Imagine King Henry coming with Baltimore to slap on the green and yellow to make us look as foolish as Saquon Barkley did in week 1. We need guys to be more aggressive in this regard or its always going to be a fatal flaw.
Penalties, Interceptions, drops and stop quitting on the run when you drove the ball 50+ yards already in the drive.... Sorry, those 4 things would make them elite but the first two would be enough.
Packers suck more at home in cold weather. I just wish we could have a brand new dome stadium. But that will never happen considering Lambeu is the most iconic stadium in the
Packer fans and Packers channels are looking a lot like their Bears counterparts of last season. Every excuse and rationalization is rolled out to explain why Justin Fields is not at fault for mistakes at the QB position. Oops, did I say Justin Fields? i meant Jordan Love. Stats schmatts but if you insist JL has has one good half-season and two poor half-seasons. Throwing stats aside, Love had terrible footwork to start last season but improved considerably by the end. This season he regressed right back to early 2023. Bad footwork leads to INTs. It leads to incompletions. It leads to WRs dropping more passes than they would. Just watch him in the pocket. Then watch Burrogh gor example. Night and day.
I really just want to see Jordan clean up his interceptions. It’s a great QB and is doing good this year. Just needs to fix that.
Would like to see him not limp down the field like a walker from the walking dead for once this year too lol
One game without an INT would be amazing
Why do I feel like love and Matt lafluer get offended every time the INT problem is asked about?
1. Stop abandoning the run game on offense
2. Send more blitzes/attack more on defense

Agree 100%

Its going to be very difficult for Love to pull of the same numbers that he did the back half of last season. That was a nearly flawless performance.
Penalties,drops,interceptions,d line, redzone scoring
The Bears NEED to FIX these two things*!
Offense
Defense
*and special teams
And coaching staff
And body odor
Go Pack Go
Coaching is #1
2 things to counter your points

I want to see us feed Jacobs more consistently and really get the play action game going anyone else agree ?
The run game has been our backbone this year.
Agreed
Yes. We have abandoned the run in the second half multiple times this season for no reason.
1: clean up the mental part on offense (penaltys pre snap, drops, dumb decisions leading to INT's )
2: improvement from the D-Line (more pressure on the QB, winning your one on one)
Red Zone efficiency and an O-line that dominates (pass protects and makes openings). Interseptions (pick 6s) hurt.
It is true, to an extent. Love does throw some shxtty balls. Yea the reciever "should" catch them. But if he could clean that up and make it easier for them. Would be nice.
Striving for greatness! Say that shit again brother!

The drops have been really bad and the second thing is our pass rush getting back there helps are DBs a lot

Seen a bas video pop up and stopped watching my oompaville video
Wut
“Everyone was calling for Sean Clifford” kinda crazy lol
1. Love needs to protect the football!!!
2. Resolve the self deprecating penalties!
Issue 1: not getting Jayden Reed the Ball..its almost like they have moved away from him after the bad play calling when they try and run the SAME TRICK PLAY with him every game and it doesn't work anymore.. get the man down field, not behind the line 10 yard on a reverse...

Ints and drops or peneltes
Maybe that’s what we need to do start calling for another QB to start maybe that will snap love out of his bad decisions
More sacks and pressures would be good. Also the secondary has been good but we need to replace the production of Preston Smith, CB1, after he was traded.
Preston Smith was not producing and was playing fewer snaps every week.
Should've been:
Offense
Defense
Honorable mentions:
General manager
All coaching staff
Special teans

Thank you for reiterating exactly what this video is about in the comments
Interceptions and pass rush
Also we need too get Hopper on the field for Mcduffie
The packers need to make Jreed the focal point of this offense
They have a problem with consistency on the d-line and love needs to be more disciplined in the pass game

Interceptions from love and run defense
1.Pass
2.Rush
Run Defense
Penalties
Penalties and red zone offense is my prediction
They have a CB dilemma with Jaire injured and still sorta have a kicker problem
The new kick only miss one field goal which was the lion game
@bradyarmstorng4162 you're right, I guess I was still haunted from our last kicker lol
Penalties, and Red Zone Offense.
I agree these are professionals best of the best if it hits their hands they definitely should be able to haul it in. DROP
We need to fix dominating in the trenches
Pass rush and Penalties.
WE NEED TO CATCH THE BALL TOO MANY DROPS
Discipline and accountability
Penalties and Pass Rush
Flags and ints
Penalties, Interceptions, drops and stop quitting on the run when you drove the ball 50+ yards already in the drive.... Sorry, those 4 things would make them elite but the first two would be enough.
I think we’re cooked I just don’t feel like our team is cohesive enough
Packers suck more at home in cold weather. I just wish we could have a brand new dome stadium. But that will never happen considering Lambeu is the most iconic stadium in the
Dome? Feh.
Penalties and drops
NO MORE PENALTIES
Root for the eagles to beat the commanders today and the packers jump to a higher wild card seed so Fly eagles fly only for tonight
Linebackers, penalties
Can we please stop abandoning the run game. And can we please get Reed off punt return. Nixon needs too be back there full time
🎯🎯
We're all calling for Malik Willis rn tho lol
defense defense
Fix turnovers and run the ball more! And catch the ball!

Too many turnovers
Not enough sacks

Defensive line and Jordan Love. Unfortunately Packers won't make the playoffs.
