I can strongly agree on how the first guardsman going on relief doesn't know his mission and his execution. It is a very long paragraph that tells an officer that they know what to do and how to do it.
F company Scots is the main ceremonial company so most new soldiers will join that company on completing basic training before being posted to nbr 1 company. Same applies to Nijmegen company Grenadiers and nbr 7 company Coldsream guards.
Some one tell me if I'm wrong but the button configuration on the great coat is incorrect that is the great coat of the Grenadiers not Scots guards which should be three buttons not one.
When in winter ceremonial dress, all button configurations are exactly the same for all regiments of foot guards. The only way to tell the difference when in great coat is the plume on the bearskin and the clasp on the buff belt. The three button configuration for the Scots guards is only used when in the summer red tunic. Hope that clears things up. 👍🏼
I’m gonna say it... The lance corporals drill was crap. Couldn’t even walk in a straight line. The other two guardsmen were in the right when he asks them to do it wrong.

Yep. The Guard Orders of Dress change with the clocks BST/GMT changes in March and October. Regardless of the weather 😁🙄
