I see it as mimicking a parent's kiss. Since adults are always so much bigger, our mouths cover a lot of space on a newborn's head. @@Mariwritesforfun what the baby is doing is called 'rooting' ie trying to suckle the breast for food. They do this in the first few days of life when they are hungry. If you don't teach them to breastfeed when they are doing it, some babies will have a more difficult time getting a latch

Many babies only feel secure when swaddled. I knew a baby who would flail in his sleep and wake himself back up. You don't do it round the clock: once they're spending more time awake, you let them kick and wave their hands in the air whenever they're not sleeping so they'll develop physically.
Why do parents put their twins so close to each other that they do that. If you want them together just keep them far enough apart so they are not touch. Seeing that is kinda awful. It is really gross that you would allow that and it is not funny.

He might not be hungry, Its rooting reflex. It makes them want to suck on anything near their mouth, the reflex disappears at about 6 months of age.
