This is lovely. Thank you for sharing your make. I made a tea gown that I feel is to heavy because I fully interlined the pieces. Your video showed me where I went wrong. I learned so much from watching your process.
i had a small moment of confusion about the weird pattern placement of the whole dress until it hit me. it's velvet. it has a direction. it sounds like a nightmare.
@@AbiSueCostumes it's twice as frustrating when you think it has a top and bottom but you have to move it under the light to know and if you accidentally cut everything upside down the light doesn't reflect correctly. i heard horror stories about that happening to people doing stage costumes where that kind of thing is super important
@zevrxn right? I've def heard those stories. I always pet my velvet to make sure the direction, and cut all at once so I'm not having to re-figure out which way it's going, very involved. But I love the look of velvet, so I keep doing it 😅
What could be better than a green teagown.
I def agree!
Your Diana is as interested in sewing as my Titania.
This is what she does lol, the fabric calls to her
I watch these videos to fulfill my desire to make something but since I have no talent…..I really appreciate yours. Beautiful gown.
Awww thanks so much! 💚
This is so beautiful! I’ve had a desire for a Victorian tea gown recently too, so the timing is perfect!! 💚💚💚
Thank you! It's a super fun project, and so amazing to wear 🥰💚
Abi, you're an inspiration. Thankyou😊

Yup! Velvet can be very frustrating because of direction, I so much prefer to conserve fabric 😅
