When I was a child, my father had a Japanese gardener. He'll never know, but his work has influenced my love of traditional Japanese gardening. It's been a joy to watch this video series.
Beautiful and inspiring. I’ve just discovered your videos. Thank you! My husband and I are beginning our gardens. We have a simple house. Some neighbors neglect their property. You show us how we can add beauty to our small space. Our labor will give a light to us and everyone nearby. Now it feels possible. Love and gratitude. 🙏
So beautiful! The shadows of the trees on the window screens and the harmony of the interior wood creates such a delightful harmony with. the garden and in turn the river scenery! Wonderful!
The attention to detail, the meticulous clean up afterwards, I'd only hire Japanese people if they owned businesses in my country! I so want a moss garden! Also, please print the names of all the plants you use in each video as it can be very useful for us who are trying to plant our own little Japanese Gardens. Thank you for these videos, they are great!
Plants - min 2:19 ‘Nanten’ is Nandina domestica (Berberidaceae); min 2:34 ‘Kichijosou’ is Reineckea carnea (Asparagaceae); min 2:42 ‘Yabu Sotesu’ is Crytomium fortune (Dryopteridaceae); min 3:01 ‘Yabu Kouji’ is Ardisia japonica (Primulaceae); min 4:18 ‘Hosoba Shiraga Goke’ is a Leucobryum glaucum (Leucobryaceae)
Wow, the outcome is simply breath taking! It draws ones gaze, seems tranquil and very inviting. The moos does make all the difference, I think - being layed out like this, a beautiful river of green, and so refreshing for the eyes! But the most beautiful thing is the shadows of the new maple leaves being cast on the screen doors like on a canvas... and ever changing, too... Thank you again, and all my compliments to all playing a role in this creation.
Thank you for your beautiful comment! You are right, it really was a very beautiful shadow on the screen door. 😊 I'll keep working on making more videos!
That’s a work of art and complements the fantastic view through the windows perfectly. I loved the moss in clumps - it reminded me of the top of a forest .

Thank you for your watching!!
We do add fertilizer to the soil before we plant!
After that, we just monitor the tree and deal with it!
Love the videos. Why do you leave the trees wrapped up when planting them?
Really nice🙏
