      Just figured out when I try to learn this, I saw that the white rectangle has a border, a black border on its up and bottom. So whenever I want to mix it with other shapes like circle, quarter, etc, the borders still appear as a divider between two shapes. Just wondering, is there a good way to solve this issue?

    I'm gonna start learning photoshop and you've given how a pro thinks and how fast you work and (in your other videos) how much Planning it takes (which shocked me, even though I have taught college level math) . thank you. thank you and thank you again.

    At first I found it difficult to learn from your videos, because it can sometimes be really hard to follow along with how fast you're going. However, by pausing every once in a while to catch up, I'm able to learn so much from you. This tutorial is OP! If y'all want a real challenge, change the speed of the video to 1.25 or higher...

    I was having the same problems as many other users so I decided to copy exactly as show in the video.
    You'll need 16 black rectangles and 15 white rectangles with the dimensions of W: 17.778 px and H: 873.333 px. The circle will have the dimensions of W/H: 636.064 px. Also, expanding the rectangle shapes is not required.

      Same here. When I try to make the single quarter circle by deleting two points, it makes a quarter that is less than 90 degrees.... I'll just wait here for an expert answer.

      If you want to sort that out, I think you should expand until there is an empty space (it will appear as your background colour) in the center. Bob's your uncle.

    When I delete and anchor point instead of a half circle I get a flat tire (rounded top) shape

    • @mycottageheart
      @mycottageheart 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Tanya Felsheim I can produce similar effects with the scissors tool and then delete anchor point tool so I can make it work...but would love to know what I am doing wrong with the initial delete anchor point idea

    • @TehNewShirral
      @TehNewShirral 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@mycottageheart It's a rather late answer, but since other people might be wondering about it, too - you need to pick the Direct Selection Tool, then select the anchor with it, and press the Delete button. If you use the Remove selected anchor point option, you end up with the flat tire; if you use Delete - you get the perfect half of the circle. I had no idea what I was doing wrong, too, until I tried that. I hope this helps someone!

    I follow all the instructions here, but when I overlap the lines they show through each other... It doesn't look like on the video, that "over / under" sensation... it looks like a hatch for me... :( What's happening?

    After dragging the circle tool and pressing the brush preference to create those lined circles, i just keep getting blacked out ones with two thin lines around the outside. Everything is checked as white with no stroke, my artboard looks like yours but its not working. Whats wrong?

      Create a circle. Along this circle there are 4 anchor points, choose Scissor tool (C) t cut the circle at these anchor points:
      - To create half circle use Scissor tool to click on the opposite points
      - To create a quarter/ three quarter click on the adjacent points
      In the first circle I believe he used the delete anchor point tool (-) to erase one point and got that effect, but the Scissor tool will work for all the mentioned shapes
      Is this what you need? Hope it helps anyways
