Thanks for making this video. I searched a long time for a dry brushing tutorial but they either talked too much or sped up the important parts of showing the technique. Great job!
This is a great addition to self care for anyone with KP. Personally, using this plus a cleanser with Salicylic acid and a good moisturizer helps so much
Thanks for doing this tutorial!! I have MS (multiple sclerosis), and read that body brushing is very good for people with MS. Will definitely be doing this follow along when I get my brush! 😊😊
Thank you, Tina! I've just started dry brushing and I stopped having issues with ingrown hairs. For me, this was a huge problem (even had minor surgeries a couple of times because of this). I've been brushing all over the place, but now I can finally do this in order 😂 Thanks for a great tutorial!
I wanted to add dry brushing into my routine as an upgrade, didn't have much expectation. HOWEVER, I loved the sensation it gave me after, aside from the calmness looking forward to how much my skin texture will improve.
Amazingggg video ❤thank you so much for making it ...this will my go to video anytime I'm able to do it... have endometriosis so sometimes don't have the energy or strength to do it but definitely know how to now so thank you! God bless ❤
Thank you! Just one question about technique: which direction should I be brushing on my glutes and hips? Not trying to be weird just couldn’t find that in the video. Again, thank you for taking the time. I bought a brush and realized . I had no idea what I was doing.
NEVER start at the end of your limb. Always work closest to the nodes to clear the pathway before working downward. Pulling from the feet immediately is just adding fluid to an already occupied area, like trying to force a car through a traffic jam.
That makes so much sense! Thanks for the input. But how does the fluid from the feet make it through the lymph nodes in the groin area for example? Seems like such a long path for it to flush through if you end with the feet. I thought that massaging the lymph nodes beforehand would help with the ”traffic jam”
@TinaEngeo you work in increments to help ease the traffic jam, the node pumping is to give it somewhere to go. The lymphatic vessels only 'pump' 4 times every min, so you'll never actually pull that fluid all the way from foot to hip. The job of MLD is to promote movement and let the system do its job, easing congestion along the way.
You have nodes alk over the body. For example the feet can exit from the back of the knee. It's ok to start with feet if you desire. Just look up a chart to where the nodes are located and work towards that area @RoosRoos-e1t
I practiced with you and it was amazing! How about the upper back? What direction and how we do that part? Do you have a video for that part? I guess we would need a brush with long handle.
Can I dry brush, and then do gua sha? I wanted to see if you recommend spreading both out on separate days or ok to combine. Thanks in advance. Your videos are awesome and so very helpful.
Thank u for the video with timer and proper movements which we can follow easily ❤ one question plz tell if u know maybe , is it ok to dry brush if one has varicose veins?
Wonderful tutorial! Do you not worry about doing your back? It’s hard to reach but I sometimes will ask my husband to come do my back. Just curious which direction is best for the back and if it should be done in two sections to different areas or in long sweeps from the waist, up the length of the back? 🙏🏼
Wonderful video thank you! Can you also do this while sitting in a chair? Or do you need to lay your leg high? Because that’s to painful for me. Thanks you!
Thank you for taking the time to show this, how hard do you push? I have thick skin because of eczema, but tell my patients about dry brushing, but have never done it myself. Wanted to try it to let them know if it works, or not. I just bought the brush you used on amazon!
I love dry brushing and do it every now and then. I wouldn’t brush it on areas where I have eczema though. I have a few patches of eczema on my stomach that comes and go. If it’s just lymphatic drainage you are looking for then any massage towards your lymph nodes would work. But with dry brushing, you get the exfoliation part as well :) If you find the brush too harsh, I recommend the one from kitsch since it’s more beginner friendly. Lmk how it goes! Love hearing feedback
Thank you for this video! I like how well you explained and demonstrated dry brushing. Random question: how do you keep your skin so nice and hair free (did not notice a single tiny hair around chest area lol). Do you shave your entire body? Wax?
Im happy it helped! I just don’t really have a lot of body hair due to genetics. If there is, it’s more like peach fuzzies that I shave maybe once every two weeks. For my armpits, I pluck them with tweezers ♥️
I just can’t reach it while doing alone. With help, just brush in the directions towards lymph nodes. You can also buy a dry brush with a wooden long handle if you want to do your whole body yourself :)
I personally don’t really feel the need to do the palm or under my feet but you are free to do so. Sometimes I get help with my back by my husband but many times I skip my back cause I can’t reach.
Cellulitis…or do you mean cellulite? :) cellulitis is a deep skin infection and in that case, I don’t see how dry brushing could help. Definitely ask a medical professional before doing this!
your back is usually a bit more sensitive (backne proves that) and it’s hard to reach. But the main reason is that there are far less lymph nodes in your back then in your front :)
Mostly a great instructional video and I love that you have a timer. One piece of constructive feedback. It would be great if you could do a retake to include the bum … you included your stomach with tights on, so why not the bum. It means I have to stop your video, dry brush my bum and restart your video.
I’ve received extremely creepy comments throughout these massage videos. For that reason I excluded the bum area for my own comfort. You can always do dry brushing on your own with some relaxing music now that you know the basics of it :)
Thank you for such a wonderful video..I have MS that has progressed 2 stages since getting diagnosed 3 years ago and this was suggested by no instructions.. You have one of the clearest explained videos..🤎

This tutorial was just what I was looking for as a beginner - straight to the point, explaining the technique, and relaxing.
LOVE this video! It is by far the easiest layoutand doesn't seem overwhelming. I'm definitely going to give it a try! Thank you 😊

It would be amazing if you could do an ASMR version with no talking! The music and bell are so helpful and soothing.
Yea agree the bell makes it nice not having to watch your phone or watch
Thank you for posting this, I recently started dry brushing but didn’t know if I was doing it correctly 😊
Glad I could help! 🥰

I’ve been looking for something like this. I can follow this each time I dry brush 👍👍 Great job!
I’m starting today! Excited for the lymphatic benefits.
Thanks!

She mentions the direction at 7:40 but doesn’t demonstrate because TH-cam rules 🙄.

Thankyou very much it's my first time and it's been so effective and valuable thanks and also I wanted to try dry brush for along time I had to wait ❤
Doing this tonight!!! Great tutorial
Hope you like it! 🫶🏼
Perfect video, i finally started with drybrushing too. How often do you clean the brushes? Thank you.
So how often should you be doing this to see/feel the benefits? Perhaps 2-3 times per week?
2-3 times a week is a great start!
What about the back?
Thank you this was perfect 👍🏼
Thanks for the tutorial. I had no idea what this was.
Thank you so much for this video!! I have a question: do we not use dry brush on the facial skin?
I practiced with you and it was amazing! How about the upper back? What direction and how we do that part? Do you have a video for that part? I guess we would need a brush with long handle.
Can I dry brush, and then do gua sha? I wanted to see if you recommend spreading both out on separate days or ok to combine.

Glad this was helpful! Yes you can combine both, I would dry brush before the shower and gua sha after the shower 🥰
So helpful! Thank you!!!! ❤
Wow I wasn't familiar with Osea. I will check out their products 👍👍👍
Great video ! Thank you !
Such a helpful video thankyou :) Also is it necessary to clean brush after every use or is that just something you do every week or so?

Is dry brushing something that can be done daily?
If your skin can handle it, yes!
Hey before brushing do we need apply something or just only dry

Ben çok beğenerek izliyorum çok güzel her gün mi lazim bu rutini yapılsın cevap verirsen çok sevinirim❤
I heard we were supposed to brush away from the heart?
Can you explain why have to do it dry as opposed to wet (like standing in shower).
Thank you so much! This is an awesome tutorial
You're very welcome :)
Should we clean it after every use?
How often should we clean the brush?
Thank you for the tutorial. May I ask why the back is ignored?
I just can’t reach it while doing alone. With help, just brush in the directions towards lymph nodes. You can also buy a dry brush with a wooden long handle if you want to do your whole body yourself :)
@@TinaEngeo Thank you very much for your reply and suggestion :)
Can you wash the brush just with water
Thank you for this tutorial. It was just the right length and information. Do you dry brush your back?
You are so welcome! Yes, I usually get help though since I don’t have a longer brush. Its a bit difficult.
@@TinaEngeo Do you brush Spine toward shoulder? Or it doesn’t matter?
Yes! Spine towards shoulders :)
@@TinaEngeo thank you so much!

Do you clean the brush after using it

Should I apply some oil or lotion before brushing ?
Nope! Brush on dry skin before showering. Lotion/oil after brushing :)
Can we use daily dry brush or gua sha
Thank you for sharing! I have incorporated this into my routine using a baby brush.
Wonderful to hear! Hope it has been a good experience :)

The brush will scrub off dead skin so no need to scrub extra in the shower

No, its called Dry brushing for a reason, if it would have been done in the shower then its not dry brushing, hope this helps
