a little bit of porting basics on the 885 head, I'll do some more minor porting videos with basics that work and how to improve your M20 at home with minimum work
Hey grooty, I have an M20 Engine with S50 85.8mm crank, 84.5 mm overbore stock pistons, stock 885 head with valve job and +1mm supertech inlet valve, and a schrick 288. Compression is 10.4 Engine is still in the build, so i try to decide if i should go stock intake manifold with m30 tb or the dbilas itb kit. I know, the dbilas is crap compared to rhd, but i have this kit here, so i could work with it for free. Do you think with ported manifold and somehow increase the runner length the dbilas system could work and give significant gains over the stock manifold?
Great question, the dbalis kit will work but you need to port the intake and port the 885 head and it should be great gains, don't put it together with stock head it's just not worth loosing the amount of power you will, if you used a set of weld on injector bungs and moved injectors away from the head and weld up the top of the dbalis intake at the head flange the whole combo will work sooooo much better
@@Grooty79 I have no experience with head porting, so trying not to make anything worse than it is. Or should i go with 272 cam, 3 angle valve job, just a clean up and stock manifold with m30 tb to net a package that is working nicer together?
@@Grooty79 Germany, onla flow bench bla bla porters here, nearly noone who is experienced with m20 head porting, they all make it just big, or are experienced, pushing 300+hp and dont talk or offer porting.

Nice work, had my head ported to the max and flow benched, Will be also on a 2.9 with itbs
This one's just a street port so should make 230hp with a 284 but heaps of torque, what flow figures did your head get on the intake ???
