Aunque Tú No Lo Sepas - Clara Lago/Quique Gonzalez [cover Koen Álvarez]
Koen was recently in our studio to record some coversongs. This is the first one, sung in his native language Spanish.
Aunque Tú No Lo Sepas [Although you don't know] it is the title of a poem by Luis García Montero , which served as the inspiration for a song by Quique González , a story by Almudena Grandes , a film by Juan Vicente Córdoba and a documentary film by Charlie Arnaiz and Alberto Ortega.
The poem belongs to the book Rooms separated ( 1994 ) by Luis García Montero.
Inspired by this poem, Quique González composed a song with the same title for Enrique Urquijo , which he published with his group Los Problems on the album Since we don't see each other ( 1998 ). Quique González usually performs it at her concerts and included a version on her album Pájaros mojados ( 2002 ) and another one live in Settlement of Accounts ( 2006 ). It has also been recorded by the musical group El Canto del Loco and included in their album Por mi y por todos otros compañeros ( 2009 ).
The song was performed by actress Clara Lago in the Spanish film Tengo ganas de ti (2012).
