It was amazing hoping to do the full South Downs way and get good weather 🤞 I did want to film the rave but feared for my life trying to get through 😂 and yep me and Paul have it nailed… food is life 😝
OMG I wasn’t quite ready to relive the brutality of that route 😂😂 Plus our description of riding through the rave didn’t come near to doing it justice… I think we were still shell-shocked from what we’d witnessed 🤣
mate that was a great ride, the SDW sections must have been tough, well done crashing and protecting the hand...skills! Agree in terms of eating early on in the ride and mars/snickers work better than gels any day! Cake is best though, 150miles must equal a lot of cakes and coffee stops? ride on!
Thanks and the SDW section was bloody brutal 😅 and for sure Mars bars seem to be my secret weapon at the moment 😂 and going to be a fair few cake stops on the 150… can’t wait for that part 😂
I'm planning on ruining this aside my wife who is cycling this weekend. Do you know of a reliable GPX ? There are multitudes on line but each appears to be slightly diffrent. Thanks
Sorry unfortunately I don’t this route was created by Ali who I rode with and it only takes in part of the South Downs way but enjoy your run that’s madness 🤯
@@GiorgioCoppolaCycling cheers for getting back to me , I was literally just putting the sections I found into my watch. Hopefully once on the go there will be some signs to keep us on track .
Looked like a great ride that,l got a MTB 2 weeks ago and not ridden my road bike since, great fun riding tracks and woods with no dickhead car drivers shouting at you lol.
Spectacular on the South Downs Way👌 and then crashes and raves - but no film of either ! You and Paul Hamblet ABE ! Always Be Eating 💪

Well done Ali lovely to see you out with George, good luck on the 150 miles xx
Need all the luck we can get for the 150 miles 😅

😂😂 and i know, I wish I had filmed it now… words can not describe the event 😂
Great endurance training for The Apprentice from the Gravel Queen, apart from the crash 😂 but good handling saving further injury to the hand 👍
The crash was not ideal… I’m a bloody danger at the moment 😂
Mars Bar = breakfast of kings 👌🤣
The go faster breakfast 😂 think I have a Mars bar addiction now 🙈

I've done part of that route, the hills are brutal
They certainly are… the bits on the South Downs way are really tough 😅
Nice! I think I joked about this route the other week 🤣 Thanks for showing us how brutal it is. Do it in reverse next?
It certainly was a brute, the South Downs way section was so hilly and hmm maybe… need some time to mentally recover before I tackle it again 😂
What sort of tyres are you running on Giorgio??
The bike in this video I’m running schwabble racing Ralph’s but on my race bike I run racing rays which I feel roll a lot faster 👌
Miles👍
All the miles in this one 😅

Gravel granny is an inspiration. What relation is she to you if any?
Very true, she’s a beast 💪 and she’s my step mum

It was epic and ahh cool it’s the way forward 👌 as you say no dickhead drivers, great fun and it’s bloody tough 😅
