It’s clear that EA only cares about Apex’s profitability. Remember when we used to get 4 Legends/year, new weapons, new Legend cinematic lore, and substantial amounts of content? Now we only get cosmetic events. It’s sad.
The main reason people aren't playing Apex is the main player base. Apex added the ability to craft banners, how many people stay to be ressed? They added the ability for teammates to craft banner, even if the support character died, still how many people rage quit and wouldn't stay to be ressed? Half the player base are hob globlins that won't listen to you, and call you useless and a coward for wanting to res instead of fight through 4 squads to revive them. And people rarely pay attention to what is going on. They added voicelines and messages at the top right stating "enemy shields broken" I can break multiple shields and need to heal, and i think my teammates will be willing to help but they sit back and watch until enemies full heal and rush because they see the team is not coming to help. (Yes people look for this and will take advantage if you don't watch your teammates back) a team based game where no one understands the basics of teamwork. Most people don't care if you do bad, they just want you to be there and help.
I know it’s silly to get sad over a game but Apex is that one game that hits different and it sucks to see it fall flat only halfway through its life expectancy.
I remember when the old devs were saying something about their plan for Apex Legends being their main game to work on for about 12 - 17 years! It's a complete shame that it's been let down by EA's weirdness and now the current devs have gone very silent :( I have a little feeling that it's too late but time will tell

Been playing first person shooters since the 90’s with Duke Nukem and Wolfenstein. Been playing Apex since it launched in February 2019. Hands down the best mechanics and feel of any shooter I’ve ever played. By a mile, no question. The community likes to say it could be this or that… and sure it could be better. All games could benefit from some adjustments or additions. Whatever happens… what a fucking run this game has had. I’m so grateful for it!

You do realize they could make separate clients/rule sets for casual and competitive games right? Just like they removed heat shields, everything you mentioned could be removed from scrims and tournaments as well no problem, especially since they use different game client at major events anyways but they just decided to not do anything at all.
@MyRageIsOP somehow I don't believe that if you add all of the cool changes to just pubs and not ranked or the scrim client That they still won't complain for some reason. Relic weapons have shown me that. For some reason respawn also seems really resistant to doing that too. They really dragged their feet on the heat dome changes Did they not? They could just make the pro version of the game as bland and boring as possible and never change anything. Meanwhile, public games get the best version of every character and guns plus all the content. It's probably something to do with cost effectiveness cuz I doubt they think like riot does where they believe that we play the same games that pros do so everything has to be the same.
I’ve been playing the game since season 0, I truly do love the game but What I think would help the game would be new characters & guns and game lore. Fr it feels like they got lazy but the potential is there.

problem with more guns is that they have to be unique otherwise they will just overlap other guns. call of duty has a million guns but most are just different fire rates and +1 -1 dmg.

2 years since the last new gun is crazy. The reason why Fortnite can add and change the weapon loot pool every season and keep the game constantly refreshing is cus they don’t monetize weapon specific skins. And I think that’s where Apex messed up. Cus of their monetization strategy they screwed themselves in the long run and are unable to remove weapons cus people pay money for skins. And can’t add more weapons fast enough without having to rebalancing the loot pool to not make it too cluttered which is what they were already struggling with before.
Facts! And the idea that the only NEW things they add are guns and legends which are heavily monetized. That’s where they put themselves in a box. Imo there’s too many guns and legends, they can’t do anything else but release more

I like the balancing changes they'd done. All weapons feel unique and more or less fair. The biggest grime id say is the matchmaking and their direction for the cosmetics. Oh, and the constant changes to ranked :(
I can’t leave the game. Imma be the last player on this game. First in first out. Game is still fun to me but I don’t play every single day, so it’s a treat to me. I could get how frustrating it would be for someone who plays day in day out.
I still enjoy playing apex i haven't been playing for long though i started season 14 and took a break from apex season 17 to 19 and havent been playing that much recent seasons but i do enjoy the game and its nice seeing mirage meta
Doesn't fortnite kinda change all the guns up every season like yes there will be a AR but it will be a different variety of AR or like the sword to Captain America shield

There was one i liked it was called spell break, it was very good and really made with love, but no budget for advertising it so game died very fast, i think they even shut down servers
Adding new guns just becomes a terrible cycle of having to remove and change drop rates and bring back old guns as a gimmick. I just never liked seeing an entire roster of weapons removed in games that have an inherent competitive factor like br.

I know EA is ruining Apex, but you can't compare it to a game that just released. Although it's understandable that, since Blizzard ruined Overwatch and EA is doing the same with Apex, we hop on Rivals, Marvel Rivals will eventually run out of characters or content, just like Apex did. It seems like the developers have abandoned the game, but it's also hard to introduce new Apex characters like in the past and get them balanced with the current game after years of good content. Anyway, it's sad because Apex was a really fun game, and I hope that someday they'll listen to the community and bring it back somehow.
The amount of cope you have to have to say oh well marvel can just put out marvel heros and it's easier than apex is bananas. They have to do just as much work to put out new heroes as respawn does. I can make up 20 new characters today that all look cool. You still gotta come up with all the attacks and health and all the balance things
i looked at the titanfall gun list and the only guns that are left are all launchers. They'll have to create new weapons, should be somewhat easy to do. Besides the guns we need new characters, and something else needs to happen. Not sure what though. Not just money grabbing events. Time is ticking, as the days go by more and more players leave and wont come back :P
I havent played in a few seasons, and im not going to reinstall until at least one of the years-long complaints gets fixed. Cheaters, audio, server stability, or ideally, a dev team that actually has permission to make playable content. Until something on that list happens, I'm content with playing mostly single player games like Kingdom Come Deliverance. Or other multiplayer games like Dark and Darker.
It's just a shame that Apex was owned by EA. It had so much potential to be a household name game but they had to go the Riot Games route and pump out 200$ bundles every single patch. Apex really needs some sort of progression system with cool rewards. It kind of reminds me of Battlefield V CoD back in the day. CoD had tons of things to grind for. Camo's, Prestiges, Title/Emblems, Leaderboards the list goes on while battlefield only had dog tags with kill trackers. People are just bored of only grinding a battlepass or ranked. Nobody cares about the gun progression system.
That nerf to Pathfinders grapple was dumb he's a skirmisher increasing the grapple to 30seconds is just stupid if they gonna do that mine as well not classify pathfinder as a skirmisher at that point cause what's he skirmishing now nothing who over at respawn took the biggest heroin hit of their life to change the grapple to 30seconds granted I'm not a pathfinder main let alone player been maining Bangalore since season 3 500k kills but still pathfinder got the shit end of the stick with that nerf that wasn't needed at all

My opinion is that for content creaters and streamers there is never enough content developers do. For a regular guy like me and 90 % of players that have work and lives beside apex. And other games too there have been decent content. I rage evertime they release skins and would never ever in my life pay real money for pixels. I paid my first season pass and that's it. But maybe I could pay 2-5 dollars for a skin o something like that maximum. And ranks I feel I am only fish food for guys like Timmy and other really good players. Agree on pathfinder though that downgrade was not deserved. I would also see som love for the forgotten legends like bloodhound etc.
I honestly don't understand the sentiment of Apex players, i play for 1 hour sometimes 2 per day. Some days i don't even play.. i barely notice any problems. Except the rat season, that was killing the game for sure.
I really dislike that they'd had stopped making legend specific heirlooms and instead been pumping out odd or some even kinda stupid universal heirlooms. The new battle pass system did not come intuitive and seems underwhelming

Dude I been telling everyone this years.. I been playing off and on.. aiming issues for me.. Apex is pay to win.. Having Legendary skin for Legend increases your speed by 2%.. legendary gun skin give 2% accuracy. A friend (deceased) has his credit card and EA account in his name. When loading up Apex he was getting wins, headshots and landing first. After awhile all that stops. For me and Ghoul we was fucked because people buying skins and using their credit cards would put them advantage over us.

I am beyond thrilled Pathfinder got his nerfs, it was deserved lol. Not only was he too strong, he made the support meta more problematic for existing. I simply cannot agree with the sentiment that Pathfinder was balanced lmfao. Pathfinder aside, the worst problem with apex is the developers apathy against the community and almost rightfully so, it's insanely toxic how they get treated. They need new leadership. A new publisher. They need to cool it with the obscene amount of micro-transactions that we're being innoculated with. Not just that, supposedly we're getting mythic R-301 skin? Why do we need mythic weapon skins? That's the whole point of the reactive skins. Mythic grenade skins? Absolutely not. Y'all pros needa complain harder like y'all did with tapstrafing tbh.
Cater to the pro scene? Spoken like a casual. It's so funny to me how this comment is made so often with zero supporting argument. Respawn caters to CASUALS. Unlike you, I will actually support my statement with facts. EOMM exists solely to help bad players win. For instance, I would have had a much higher win rate if I weren't constantly paired with bad players. Secondly, many of the community members are annoying, especially the bad/new players. This has nothing to do with Respawn. For some reason, it's usually the people who know the least and are the least skilled that have the strongest opinions. Not just on this game but in life too. Thirdly, legends that had high pick rates among top players got nerfed into the ground (Octane, Wraith, Pathfinder), while camping legends received numerous buffs. Weapons that were favored by good players (R99, Wingman) also got nerfed repeatedly. Lastly, aim assist never got nerfed until the people started leaving the game in droves, including streamers. The argument that Apex catered to pros makes zero sense.
Maybe if the community was less toxic and EA actually tried there would still be a playerbase lol. Ragequit and Recolors that’s the entirety of the game
The whole point of live service is to keep you coming back. They failed at doing that season after season for the last 6-7 seasons. It's dull and the recycled content is a disgrace. I still play and it's still my favorite game because the mechanics/movements are by far the best, but I do not feel nearly as eager to play as I used to.
In my opinion the game needs to be more unbalanced instead of always making it worse they should make more OP legends As an example Horizon at release was 1000x more fun than it is now And I would have no problem with more legends being OP it would just be more fun
They should keep the EPG in and then also nerf it a lot, then have it as a permanent care package weapon like the Krabar. And also finally add wall run but have it as perk for the skirmisher class. It will obviously be broken but then they should make it show that it has a fuel gauge or something. If they want to keep the OG fans of Apex and please the Titanfall fans these additions would essentially win them over. Since Titanfall 3 ain't coming and it be a missed opportunity for them to capitalize on thise additions... I'd really love to see this game be around for a while and it's sad really that the player base is taking a dip...
I’m starting to feel like most of people are sheep and AIs. All these comments are recycled opinions of streamers and content creators. Who have plugged in 100 of THOUSANDS of the game. Most if not all the people here I doubt have played the game to the same extent and have experienced the same level of burn out. Apex as a game isn’t bad even if they are cash grabbing the game isn’t bad. The problem in the game is that it’s been a saturated state with people showing every tip and trick and top level strat, making the game almost unplayable at a fun capacity. Because you can be getting off work and go against a random who moving and not missing. On top of cheaters. It’s toxic, on top of shitty teammates. Most of the people complaining about content do not know any of the lore, don’t care about why xyz is doing xyz. They just know they get on and die and it isn’t fun if you die a lot. CoD and fortnite have different game modes that ease that otherwise they would be in the same boat if you only could play the BR. The reasons the pros are tired of it, is because the devs are trying to cater to the fans, what they don’t know is the fans are sheep following their favorite pro. On top of pros mostly going into content creation, which makes them jump on the newest ship for views. So rivals is the shiny present rn I wonder how long it’ll last

I honestly don’t play apex at all anymore, the game is just too boring now. They get rid of everything fun in the game all the time, and I wish they would just keep all the modes, give us chances to play how we want, etc. also, stats should count for all playlists, cause a lot of players just play for stats. Why can’t all the playlists count for that so that trios and ranked don’t feel like the only thing worth playing. Makes it boring.

Audio issues are the main gripe I have with the game.
Apex is the only game I see the community wants to fail. A new character for a BR is different than characters for a small map game.

problem with more guns is that they have to be unique otherwise they will just overlap other guns. call of duty has a million guns but most are just different fire rates and +1 -1 dmg.

2 years since the last new gun is crazy. The reason why Fortnite can add and change the weapon loot pool every season and keep the game constantly refreshing is cus they don’t monetize weapon specific skins. And I think that’s where Apex messed up. Cus of their monetization strategy they screwed themselves in the long run and are unable to remove weapons cus people pay money for skins. And can’t add more weapons fast enough without having to rebalancing the loot pool to not make it too cluttered which is what they were already struggling with before.
Facts! And the idea that the only NEW things they add are guns and legends which are heavily monetized. That’s where they put themselves in a box. Imo there’s too many guns and legends, they can’t do anything else but release more

I like the balancing changes they'd done. All weapons feel unique and more or less fair. The biggest grime id say is the matchmaking and their direction for the cosmetics. Oh, and the constant changes to ranked :(

I can’t leave the game. Imma be the last player on this game. First in first out. Game is still fun to me but I don’t play every single day, so it’s a treat to me. I could get how frustrating it would be for someone who plays day in day out.
I still enjoy playing apex i haven't been playing for long though i started season 14 and took a break from apex season 17 to 19 and havent been playing that much recent seasons but i do enjoy the game and its nice seeing mirage meta

There was one i liked it was called spell break, it was very good and really made with love, but no budget for advertising it so game died very fast, i think they even shut down servers
BRs are kinda over, every new one is dead on arrival, its just not a good gamemode at its core.

Adding new guns just becomes a terrible cycle of having to remove and change drop rates and bring back old guns as a gimmick. I just never liked seeing an entire roster of weapons removed in games that have an inherent competitive factor like br.

I know EA is ruining Apex, but you can't compare it to a game that just released. Although it's understandable that, since Blizzard ruined Overwatch and EA is doing the same with Apex, we hop on Rivals, Marvel Rivals will eventually run out of characters or content, just like Apex did. It seems like the developers have abandoned the game, but it's also hard to introduce new Apex characters like in the past and get them balanced with the current game after years of good content. Anyway, it's sad because Apex was a really fun game, and I hope that someday they'll listen to the community and bring it back somehow.
Marvels might run out of characters but not out of content, Just like Fortnite does and proves is possible

i looked at the titanfall gun list and the only guns that are left are all launchers. They'll have to create new weapons, should be somewhat easy to do. Besides the guns we need new characters, and something else needs to happen. Not sure what though. Not just money grabbing events. Time is ticking, as the days go by more and more players leave and wont come back :P

I havent played in a few seasons, and im not going to reinstall until at least one of the years-long complaints gets fixed. Cheaters, audio, server stability, or ideally, a dev team that actually has permission to make playable content.
Until something on that list happens, I'm content with playing mostly single player games like Kingdom Come Deliverance. Or other multiplayer games like Dark and Darker.

It's just a shame that Apex was owned by EA. It had so much potential to be a household name game but they had to go the Riot Games route and pump out 200$ bundles every single patch.
Apex really needs some sort of progression system with cool rewards. It kind of reminds me of Battlefield V CoD back in the day. CoD had tons of things to grind for. Camo's, Prestiges, Title/Emblems, Leaderboards the list goes on while battlefield only had dog tags with kill trackers. People are just bored of only grinding a battlepass or ranked. Nobody cares about the gun progression system.
They should really sell the game to another company before we lose even more of the player base. I love this game but man we need content
That nerf to Pathfinders grapple was dumb he's a skirmisher increasing the grapple to 30seconds is just stupid if they gonna do that mine as well not classify pathfinder as a skirmisher at that point cause what's he skirmishing now nothing who over at respawn took the biggest heroin hit of their life to change the grapple to 30seconds granted I'm not a pathfinder main let alone player been maining Bangalore since season 3 500k kills but still pathfinder got the shit end of the stick with that nerf that wasn't needed at all

But maybe I could pay 2-5 dollars for a skin o something like that maximum. And ranks I feel I am only fish food for guys like Timmy and other really good players. Agree on pathfinder though that downgrade was not deserved. I would also see som love for the forgotten legends like bloodhound etc.
I honestly don't understand the sentiment of Apex players, i play for 1 hour sometimes 2 per day. Some days i don't even play.. i barely notice any problems. Except the rat season, that was killing the game for sure.
I really dislike that they'd had stopped making legend specific heirlooms and instead been pumping out odd or some even kinda stupid universal heirlooms. The new battle pass system did not come intuitive and seems underwhelming
It's been years since a proper solo mode. It's always on some respawn goofy nonsense. Apex devs don't even try, but I like the changes to support characters recently.
What was wrong with the last solos mode?

Apex is pay to win.. Having Legendary skin for Legend increases your speed by 2%.. legendary gun skin give 2% accuracy.
A friend (deceased) has his credit card and EA account in his name. When loading up Apex he was getting wins, headshots and landing first. After awhile all that stops. For me and Ghoul we was fucked because people buying skins and using their credit cards would put them advantage over us.

Pathfinder aside, the worst problem with apex is the developers apathy against the community and almost rightfully so, it's insanely toxic how they get treated. They need new leadership. A new publisher. They need to cool it with the obscene amount of micro-transactions that we're being innoculated with. Not just that, supposedly we're getting mythic R-301 skin? Why do we need mythic weapon skins? That's the whole point of the reactive skins. Mythic grenade skins? Absolutely not. Y'all pros needa complain harder like y'all did with tapstrafing tbh.

Unlike you, I will actually support my statement with facts. EOMM exists solely to help bad players win. For instance, I would have had a much higher win rate if I weren't constantly paired with bad players. Secondly, many of the community members are annoying, especially the bad/new players. This has nothing to do with Respawn. For some reason, it's usually the people who know the least and are the least skilled that have the strongest opinions. Not just on this game but in life too. Thirdly, legends that had high pick rates among top players got nerfed into the ground (Octane, Wraith, Pathfinder), while camping legends received numerous buffs. Weapons that were favored by good players (R99, Wingman) also got nerfed repeatedly. Lastly, aim assist never got nerfed until the people started leaving the game in droves, including streamers. The argument that Apex catered to pros makes zero sense.

The whole point of live service is to keep you coming back. They failed at doing that season after season for the last 6-7 seasons. It's dull and the recycled content is a disgrace. I still play and it's still my favorite game because the mechanics/movements are by far the best, but I do not feel nearly as eager to play as I used to.
In my opinion the game needs to be more unbalanced instead of always making it worse they should make more OP legends

If they want to keep the OG fans of Apex and please the Titanfall fans these additions would essentially win them over. Since Titanfall 3 ain't coming and it be a missed opportunity for them to capitalize on thise additions... I'd really love to see this game be around for a while and it's sad really that the player base is taking a dip...
I’m starting to feel like most of people are sheep and AIs. All these comments are recycled opinions of streamers and content creators. Who have plugged in 100 of THOUSANDS of the game.
Most if not all the people here I doubt have played the game to the same extent and have experienced the same level of burn out. Apex as a game isn’t bad even if they are cash grabbing the game isn’t bad.
The problem in the game is that it’s been a saturated state with people showing every tip and trick and top level strat, making the game almost unplayable at a fun capacity. Because you can be getting off work and go against a random who moving and not missing. On top of cheaters. It’s toxic, on top of shitty teammates.
Most of the people complaining about content do not know any of the lore, don’t care about why xyz is doing xyz. They just know they get on and die and it isn’t fun if you die a lot. CoD and fortnite have different game modes that ease that otherwise they would be in the same boat if you only could play the BR.
The reasons the pros are tired of it, is because the devs are trying to cater to the fans, what they don’t know is the fans are sheep following their favorite pro.
On top of pros mostly going into content creation, which makes them jump on the newest ship for views. So rivals is the shiny present rn I wonder how long it’ll last

They get rid of everything fun in the game all the time, and I wish they would just keep all the modes, give us chances to play how we want, etc. also, stats should count for all playlists, cause a lot of players just play for stats. Why can’t all the playlists count for that so that trios and ranked don’t feel like the only thing worth playing. Makes it boring.
